“Even for the ones who do not like sandwiches!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

I don't really like sandwiches and I don't like fried, but I am sold on Bakesale Betty. OMG, the fried chicken is the bomb... perfectly fried, not greasy at all and the chicken is so tender. The bun is soft and the cole slaw has just the right kick to it... not too spicy, not too bland. The line is worth it, although if you go at 11 or so, not much of a line. If you show up at 12, definitely a 30-40 min wait, but hey, its worth it!

“One item on menu; always a like; worth it...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

Actually two items on the menu, there is also a tofu chicken sandwich... There is always a line and they are open only 11am to 2pm but the line moves fast. You get your fried chicken on a fresh hard roll with jalapeno slaw, slightly spicy, in a bag and go outside to eat it. We crossed the street to sit in the sun and really enjoyed the best fried chicken breast sandwich ever.

“Fried chicken and coleslaw - yum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I have made their coleslaw many times -but I don't think they gave the full recipe to the newspaper. Only open a short time during the day and no signage with the name. You really have to be "in the know" to get lunch here. It is very tasty.

“Over hyped but good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

Simple enough. Only one sandwich on the menu. Tasted fine, but nothing special. Certainly can do better for the price and definitely not worth driving out of your way for.

“Amazing! One of a kind!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This visit is really one of a kind and will make your day. Though pricey the chicken sandwich, lemonade and any of the baked items are truly a delight. The food coupled with the experience is truly unique.
