Oaklands saving grace!
A very good restaurant serving good steaks and seafood at a reasonable price.
It's not exceptional, it won't get a Michelin, but if you are in Oakland, this is the place to go

Destination was Jack London Square - my cousin referred me here accordingly! In town for a concert - got to hang out here for two and a half hours, and they let me just linger and relax - OUTSTANDING FOOD - great lunch special of French onion soup and crab open face sandwich - quite reasonable since it was mid day. Sat bordering the Estuary - lovely view of water, boats - simply charming. Best service one could ask for - they met my every need and request with grace and swiftness. Totally relaxing but with formal appointments. It was so special to be able to walk around Jack London Square safely - I am sure the restaurant in question is the high point of the square as far as dining is concerned, and only 2 blocks from Amtrak and 3 blocks from Oakland Metropolitan Opera House - all walking distance! To think they let me just sip coffee and wait until the show started and keep my table made me want to return VERY SOON! To top it off I was given a $10.00 off certificate for my next visit! A WINNER!!

A great place to sit down by the waterfront with a glass of wine and just watch the world go by. The food is really nice, nothing fancy but it is the basics done very well and the staff are always great.

Really good value for money in a great location.

Very good view of the bay area, at lunch time you can watch the sea sports, yatches back and forth, dinning room is well decorated and overall atmosphere is cool, staff is warm and welcoming, food is ok, a bit to the fancy side, but tasty, fair portioning, a bit expensive but it is as everywhere in San Francisco area...
