Hadn't been here in a while, and while it is less crazily packed (the trendies have moved on to the next new thing) the food and service were just fine on a recent visit. The outside areas are perfect for that warm evening (over 70 at night!) in Oakland, and few other restaurants offer this.
The food is not taco-stand simple, there are some interesting takes and ingredients from Central Mexico, so it's not cheap but not outrageous. Enjoyed the carne asada, enchiladas with red mole, and the chocolate and tres leches cakes for dessert were great. Booking was easy, and service quite warm, helpful and efficient, an improvement over past visits.
