“Fun place for older children or teens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Chabot is a great place to spend an afternoon. We recently took an exchange student there. The exhibits are well thought out. The cafe has good food at a reasonable price. The only negatives were that several of the interactive exhibits were broken and while the staff seems friendly enough, they didn't engage the patrons enough with the demonstrations. I thought we'd get a nice view of the bay, but the trees block the view. Many of the exhibits are geared toward older children but they seem to have hands on activities for the younger set too.

“Too Cool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Great hands on exhibits will interest adults and children. We didn't get to see certain areas because of another reserved tour, but will go back soon.

“Starry Skies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

Best place to see night skies in the Bay Area. Excellent explanations of many astronomical facts, events, constellations, planets, and more. New moon nights amateur astronomers gather to oogle the heavens together. Join in the fun. Bring hot cocoa

“Amazing Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We loved our recent visit to Chabot Space and Science Center. They have alot of interactive hands on activities for kids and adults. Loved the outdoor view. We also visited at night with our cub scout group and learned so much with the great teachers there.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

friday night you can go for free to see the wonders of the night sky through the giant telescopes or the amateur scopes people bring. Some guys even have special filters to see the contours of the full moon. Awesome date spot!!
