Five of us made a reservation at Belotti for a special occasion. Service was friendly and food was outstanding. Each of us ordered a different dish and we all shared. There wasn't a single thing that we didn't like but the bolognese was our favorite. Highly recommend!

Belotti Ristorante is an intimate little eating establishment located on College Avenue in Oakland. Our reservation was on a Tuesday at 5:00 PM and we were able to find on street parking directly across the street, a convenient 100 foot walk to the restaurant. For our appetizer we chose Battuta, a delightful, unique beef dish served as a spread which by the menu description consisted of “hand cut certified Piedmontese ribeye dry aged beef tartare, carasau bread, parmigiano reggiano, micro arugula, aged balsamic, truffle caviar, quail egg yolk.” It was served with a very thin cracker that you broke and then spread the Battuta on it. For our entrees, the wife and I ordered the Papardelle and I the Casoncelli, pasta dishes that were absolutely delicious. For dessert we had coconut sorbet, the most creamy, delicious frozen dessert we have had at any restaurant. We had told the maître d’ that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, so the restaurant comped one of our desserts, and gave us a warm sendoff as we departed. Consistent with the many positive reviews we had read, this restaurant is very special, with delicious food and very prompt, courteous service. We will be back.

This is our celebration place — there is always something we’ve never eaten before on the menu along with old favorites. The matched food and wine courses are always worth it. Not fancy and not haughty and always yummy.

One of my favorite italian restaurants in the East Bay. The food was delicious as usual, however the service was not up to their usual caliber. It's a tiny room, so there aren't too many tables. Our server spent much more time punching things into the computer than attending to our needs. It certainly detracted from the overall experience.

Fresh. Fresh.Fresh. Started with Battuta - which was lovely in the mouth and seasoned delicately with balsamic, truffle cavier and quail's egg yolk. Stunning. Less taken with the Tortino of spinach and truffle - but tasty.

The pasta. Oooh the pasta... the Bigoli with duck, really good, the paparadelle melted in mouth but the casoncelli - if only my mother had cooked like that!

Lovely attentive service without fawning - perfect lunch, indeed.
