The Ranch staff was awesome!!! Everyone working there was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating!! Our group stayed at the Ranch for two nights, Friday and Saturday. Everyone enjoyed sitting out on the veranda and watching the children play on the grass area. The Ranch started serving breakfast 30 minutes earlier than normal so that we would have the opportunity to eat before we needed to leave the Ranch for a wedding in Yosemite. We had a reception at the Ranch that night and the food was excellent!! The staff did a beautiful job setting up the dinner and accommodating our needs. Everyone in our group (all 16 rooms) loved the Ranch! The location, history of the ranch, and staff were the BEST!!

Room Tip: The old converted hospital rooms facing the grassy area were the best for families with children. Th...

I could not agree with the Australian gentleman more, this is a second rate establishment. Arrived on Memorial day Monday for two pre-booked nights, only to be told that the pool was unavailable due to pollen and that the restuarant does not open on Monday or Tuesday so had to go out to eat both evenings. The room was ok and our plumbing was fine but without common features such as hair dryer or iron. All of the public areas are attractive at first glance until you realise that they are poorly cleaned and that nearly all of the soft furnishings have rips and holes or have come unstiched. The various cats also have the run of the place and sleep on the guest furniture in the lounges. Breakfast was minimal and only plastic cutlery and polystyrene plates and cups were available. As for security, locking your room door is a joke, any five year old could open the room door or break open the French doors to the veranda. I paid 149 US dollars a night for this so thank goodness I wasn't paying their full summer rate. The Ranch's only saving grace is it's setting and the helpful and polite young receptionist who checked us in.

Visited the Sierra Sky Ranch for the Con-Con 3 Event, hosted by Mark and Debby Constantino in February, and walked away very impressed. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The Bar and Grill served us in a nice comfortable setting, and the food was excellent. Even though I didn’t hit the bedroom until deep in the morning, that too was very comfortable. A very nice overall experience and will definitely be going back. Thanks Mark!

If you like nice people, cats and ghosts, you will love this hotel. We should have known something was not right when we checked in and were told our room was not ready due to a plumbing problem. We were told they had upgraded us to a two room suite, but the maid had to come back in from town to clean it. When we finally got our room, which was in the basement, we had no heat. We did have a fireplace and we were given wood, but no kindling. After we ripped up paper, collected leaves and no fire, they finally brought down some grease from the kitchen to start the fire. The next day we left to go buy kindling and my wife stepped in cat poop in the hallway outside our door. For the most part the food was good, but the waiters were a little disorganized. Needless to say after three days of no heat, we left and went to the Pines in Bass Lake.

We held a wedding here at the Ranch and we could not have made a better choice. All of the guests stayed at the hotel and the staff was very accommodating. Everything was picture perfect. The beds were comfortable and the rooms all let out onto a balcony where you can enjoy the view. We had plenty of space to hang out and have fun carving pumpkins and visiting with each other. The staff was there for us for whatever we needed. The continental breakfast in the morning was awesome and we even made our own waffles! If you stay there, make sure to allow plenty of time to relax and take in the sites surrounding the area. We were just to busy with the wedding.

Room Tip: The best experience is if you stay in the "Bunk House". The rooms are quieter and the view...
