My family and I (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed here for four days over spring break. It was my first trip to Yosemite in decades and I couldn't decide whether to stay in or out of the Park. In the end the low price and prospect of motel comforts and a wider choice of restaurant won, and we had almost no regrets.

We stayed in a two-room suite, so for $105/night plus tax the kids each had a queen-sized bed in one room, while my wife and I had another queen bed in an adjoining room (with door!). Each room had it's own TV and washbasin, and there was a microwave, fridge, and free wi-fi. The motel also has at least one laundry room. The indoor pool and jacuzzi is pretty nice, but some negatives included lots of chlorine and a cold walk back to the room!

The lobby is a little hokey but I kinda liked it - it was my bargain-rate Ahwahnee! And the rest of the property is landscaped up a slope so that from one block of rooms you can hardly see the others. Very nice atmosphere for a motel.

I also have to commend the service. The maid left us extra towels and a friendly note, once she realized we were using the pool. And, like another recent reviewer, we left an item of property behind in the room. We called a few days after leaving and they had found it, and mailed it back to us.

The only downside was the drive into Yosemite. It's 25 mins. to the South Gate, and another hour to Yosemite Valley, with no traffic. Being from LA I though that would be tolerable but after four days it was starting to pall. I would definately recommend this hotel, but might also try a place in the Park if visiting for more than a couple of days.

Went to Yosemite last weekend. Tent cabin at Curry Village was the same price on weekends! This hotel had king size bed, TV, private bath, wi-fi, coffeemaker, microwave, and refrigerator. Plus the restaurant was pretty good for breakfast.

Check-in was the fastest I've ever experienced anywhere, ever. Couldn't have taken more than 60 seconds from the time I walked in the front door. Room was clean, everything worked. What more can you ask?

We found this hotel at the end of a long day of hiking in Yosemite. We didn't want to do too much driving so we went to the Ahwahnee to use their wireless internet access (free in the lobby) to book a room in Oakhurst since we didn't want to pay the $460 that they wanted at the Ahwahnee. We found this hotel for a AAA rate of $85 or so a night.

We really wanted to use their hot tub because we were so sore and tired from hiking. Unfortunately, only the indoor pool and hot tub were open, and the pool was full of kids and, like most indoor pools, smelled strongly of chlorine. We went in anyway, but it wasn't as relaxing as we had hoped because of the noise, the spashing, the smell, etc.

The room itself was just fine, though the bathroom was dated and we only got a very weak internet signal that kept going in and out. That was pretty frustrating.

Be sure to check out the lobby if you have a few minutes - it's got lots of cheesy art for sale and we got a few good chuckles out the decor!

We were concerned when we booked this because the rate was so low, but because we needed two rooms value really mattered. When we checked in, they got us two rooms by each other and checked us in early. Pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms were quite nice and the grounds well maintained. We only stayed two nights but used the indoor pool, the playground, and the little picnic area. After we left we realized we had accidentally left our digital camera in the trash (really dumb), and called after they had cleaned the room. They actually retrieved the camera from the dumpster and sent it to us, free of charge, Skip the restaurant but we will stay here every time in the future.

About 1.25 hours from Yosemite park but the road is beautiful as you'd expect. We'd probably stay closer next time and pay a little more, but this hotel is good value with all the basic amenities you'd need and friendly service.
