We spent the night on our way to Yosemite. We were surprised that the motel is actually quite large. There are several buildings scattered around on the hillside.

The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, but it is a dated. The price of the motel is fair and there are two pools.

I would stay here again if I was passing through but I would not stay here as a destination spot.

Staff were very friendly.

The hotel was average, decor seemed outdated but the grounds of the property was AMAZING!!! Although they could use better signs on the property to let you know where things are. There were 2 hot tubs & pools, the ones inside was small & not in a central location to the entire faculty. The others outside & the hot tub was like warm & the jets didn't work that well...had to flip the emergency and & off switch to make the jets start up. No towels were readily available at both sites. The restaurant food was great the first day but not so good the second. The waitress on the first day seemed unfriendly. The hotel is close...about 35-40min from Yosemite Park.

Even though it is right in town, the rooms are on a quiet, terraced hillside with great landscaping. It may be a little older, but has been maintained. Each room has a framed painting done by the owner, and she has painted a mural of a beautiful local landscape as your headboard wall. Nice. The staff is so friendly. Each acts like a member of the motel owners' family and seems to feel personally responsible for your comfort and needs. They seemed to try to think of just what we might need. They even provided a nightlight in our large room. There is a very nice gift shop on site. The grounds have large wood carvings of local wildlife. My favorites are those of the bears. The on-site restaurant is very nice. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food was good and served with pride and an artistic small orchid garnish. We stayed 2 nights there and drove into Yosemite by 2 different routes.

Room Tip: We had a 1st floor room with a king size bed. It had an outside door and convenient to the parking.

Very nice hotel The room was very nice, the bed comfy and I slept well. We had breakfast at the restaurant the first morning and I was not impressed. The hash browns were too greasy to eat and my scrambled eggs were fried very had and in little pieces.

The rooms are decent but sorely in need of an update! The bed was comfy, and bathroom was clean.....but the whole room needed a good cleaning. I had to wipe the dust of the top of the headboards. Our room had a great view, it was at the top. I'm not sure you could do much better though in Oakhurst. Maybe a B&B
