The pictures of the room that hotel posted on its web site is not how they actually look. The room we have stayed in looked pretty drab. This hotel is hardly 3 stars hotel. It does not have a basic breakfast, they just have a restaurant that they give 25% discount, the service on our third day was pretty bad.

Decent hotel,, good value, ideal location for Yosemite via south entrance, although it's a 35 mile drive to Yosemite valley, it's a beautiful drive with unbeatable views. Rooms were ok , comfy beds and decent bathroom.

Very friendly check in. Easy parking. The room was really lovely with good TV and great bathroom. Good quality bedding. The hotel restaurant was so good we had dinner there twice out of three nights. The breakfast was also very good. If you are not staying in the national Park this is a great hotel to stay in for Yosemite

Room Tip: All rooms seemed good

We really enjoyed this one. For anyone visiting Yosemite, this is ideal. It's only 15 miles from the park. The room was large and clean, almost a studio apt., and very quiet. The hotel itself is beautiful and the restaurant is very good.

Arrived here after a long drive to a very unfriendly welcome from the guy on reception. On entering our room, I thought we had been transported back to the 1970's, the decor was that old! It was dark and gloomy with bad lighting. This was a big disappointment as we had recently stayed in a much newer Best Western which was a world away from this one. The room was however large and clean. The bathroom, also dated, was clean but the towels were wafer thin. I've had better towels in a Motel 6. The rest of the hotel was dated and tacky, horrible plastic flowers everywhere. The swimming pool is very small. I wouldn't bother with breakfast in the restaurant, poached eggs were hard, when I sent them back instead of an apology, I was accussed by the waitress of not explaining that I liked them cooked soft - go figure!! Not a good attitude, hash browns were just about shown the pan and barely cooked. On checking out we mentioned that the fridge in our room had totally frozen our bottled water, the response was, 'yeah it does that sometimes' !! Although as previous mentioned by other travellers, Oakhurst is a good base for visiting Yosemite, I really wouldn't stay here unless every other place in town is booked and you absolutely have no choice. We were only here because sadly the lovely Narrow Gauge Inn, (where we stayed on our honeymoon 10 years ago) was fully booked. If you can book there I would throughly recommend that one.

Long weekend stay at this Best Western Hotel to explore Yosemite . This hotel is ideally situated for a visit to this amazing national park. About 40 minutes from entrance to the park.
No welcome at reception on arrival after a long drive, no information offered on facilities of the hotel or local amenities . We had to do all the asking, so not a good first impression . Rooms are large, spotlessly clean , decor very kitsch , air con quite loud in the room. We did have cause to complain to reception about the noise from rooms close to us with teenage kids and loud music playing at 1am. Breakfast in the morning if you are on a voucher and not paying for the a la carte menu made us feel like second class citizens, breakfast was average at best. That said we eat three nights in the restaurant and found it excellent, both food and service. I really wish I could remember the name of our waitress she was so pleasant , a young grandma looking after her grandson. This lady is a real asset to the restaurant . Also nice touch chef visiting each table once they had finished main course. Room to improve but if you are planning a visit to Yosemite want a clean room and good dinner this is the place for you.
