Tony, the owner, is on premises most of the time ensuring his high standards of excellence are being observed by his staff. Excellent, home-made salsa with warm chips are served within seconds of being seated. Endless refills. No matter the day of the week, tourists (to Yosemite National Park) and locals alike keep El Cid busy, but not overly crowed. The food itself is fresh and tasty. We live only 13 miles from this restaurant and, over the course of the past 16 years, keep going back.
