For $80 I feel taken advantage of. If I paid $40 I wouldn’t have a complaint. I stayed here in March of 2017, I believe it was a different name then. This time I was put in the back part of the hotel I didn’t know existed. A real dump. I guess it was my punishment for not booking directly with them instead of Expedia. Shady people, grungy room, broken lock, and disconnected tv. I didn’t even shower because I was afraid I would get athletes foot. Oh, and an empty peanut butter packet behind the night stand was a little cause for concern on the details to a clean room.

Recently renovated I suspect...welcoming, everything worked as it should, the lady at the desk couldn’t have been more helpful. Breakfast maybe a trifle meagre, but Oakhurst itself? What a nice town!!

The first thing that grabbed my attention were the high ceilings in the rooms, I don't know why but I thought it was kinda cool. We grabbed (continental) breakfast and the fellow behind the desk was also the fellow replenishing breakfast. He was the nicest people i've ever met within the hospitality industry!
PRO
Clean
Coffee Maker
Microwave
Fridge
hair dryer
comfortable bed
a/c and heat work great
Park right in front of your door
Within walking distance of several places to stock up on room snacks
CON
No soap, shampoo, etc. provided
Phone out of service so couldn't call the office for soap, shampoo, etc.
Thin walls; Mr Chatty McChat chatted til past 11pm. I lay there thinking, "When does the other person get to reply????"
Hot shower made a loud screeching noise
Noise coming from a leaky toilet all night
No plastic liners provided for ice bucket. It was a very hot day...
Only one wash cloth instead of two

Management really needs to pay attention to detail. Don't feel I got my money's worth!

Room tip: Not sure but maybe the rooms away from the busy street may be a bit more quiet...??? Street noise level wasn't too bad.

It's a nice place to stay. Room was clean, bed was comfoprtable and breakfast was enough to start the day without empty stomach.
The staff was friendly, place was quiet and there was a lot of restaurants in the town

After being let down by another hotel, Oakhurst Lodge stepped up. The staff were amazing. Really friendly and helpful. The rooms are fine - not knock your socks off but they did a job. Clean, comfortable, AC - what more do you want!!? Breakfast similar - you will get hotels with a bigger selection but this was absolutely fine (including a waffle maker!) and did the job to set you up for exploring the stunning local area. Thank you for a great stay.
