“Not worth the discount given from our hotel stay”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

We went here for breakfast based on it being in our hotel's parking lot and on there being a 25% discount. Nothing positively memorable about it. Breakfast is fairly basic & it is always surprising when a restaurant can't at least achieve "average".

“Worst meal on our two week vacation”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

By far the worst meal we had. Don't know where to start but the server bragged that they had the best salad bar in Oakhurst. In reality half the salad bar was closed. Poor selection of items. My son had lettuce that was wilted and very old.

The server was overly friendly but not very knowledgeable of the menu items.

Wife ordered the trout with Frangelico sauce. Was as bad as it sounds.

Avoid this dump.

“Good service, terrible food”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

Service
Waiter was very energetic and talked the food up a great deal. Unfortunately the food was simply awful and try as he might, the sincere smiles couldn't make up for the disappointing fare.

Food
The second worst meal in a restaurant I have had. The food is very overpriced and poorly executed. The salad bar features wilted greens. I grew tired of battling the tough and stringy chicken and had to give up on it. The side rice wasn't cooked right, very mushy and bland.

Our relatives went in for breakfast due to the 25% discount as guests of the adjoining hotel and were disappointed as well. The parfait was more like a sickly sweet dessert with whipped cream and sprinkles on top.

The menu was quite ambitious and I really was surprised as the low quality of the food served. They should focus on the basics and just getting that right, with that and their location they could have a much nicer dining experience for hungry travelers.

Price
Entrees were all around $16 and up. Very overpriced and we learned that trips to the nearby deli at Von's market was the way the way to go. The nearby Denny's would probably be a much better deal.

Food options in this small town are limited, but definitely skip this place.

“Best breakfast around”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

We ate breakfast here based on a recommendation from the concierge at Tenaya. Way better breakfast for half the cost of eating at Tenaya.
