A couple times a year we drive from Los Angeles to go here and we have introduced lots of friends and family to this wonderful place. One of the huge benefits is that we can bring our high energy dog, who has to tollerate living in a one bedroom city apartment most of the year and he can run free. The land is private and extensive so we never worry about where he is - he just gets to explore and be a free dog. Plus, we know that Snert, the resident pup will make sure he doesn't get into anything he shouldn't!
The house is wonderful, so comfortable and inviting. Filled with vintage knick-knacks, it has charm and feels homey in a way that no hotel can match. Sunsets, long walks in every direction, starry nights, fires in the fireplace, comfy beds, clawfoot bathtub, cooking in the great kitchen, this place has too many positives to list. Mark, the owner is always available to answer any questions and we love to see him every time we go. He responds quickly to emails and is the friendliest, kindest host you could ask for.
I cannot reccomend this fabulous guest house highly enough. I prefer the winter months because sitting around the fire is so enjoyable. I've gone in the summer but it was too hot and dry for my taste. Bring friends and family and plan on a relaxing vacation you'll want to revisit again and again.
