I got a Groupon voucher and ended up with the fuel surcharge paying $20 for a boat ride and seeing some dolphins. I understand you might not see whales, but you can still have fun, learn something, see the coast. After leaving the dock and gettingWhen we saw dolphins the captain spoke. It would've been nice to point out the coastline, and mention where the heck we were. Give us some knowledge of whales. Maybe play some music. Two hours of dead air. So if you are just looking for a quiet boat ride...this is fine.

And the nerve to put out a tip jar? For what? The crew did and said absolutely nothing.

It cost $71 for myself and my mom to go and we didn't see anything. They gave is passes for another time and when I told they that we were leaving to go back to our home in texas that night they just said that there are no refunds. It you are from that area then they vouchers are fine but if you are from out of time then don't waste your time or money.

What a wonderful alternative to Sea World! My 21-year-old son faced a moral dilemma about going to Sea World, so I looked for an attraction that would allow us to view the whales and dolphins in the comfort of their natural habitat. We were on a good-sized boat, and the three-man crew really made the trip fun. We saw dozens of amazing dolphins and four spectacular whales on our journey, in addition to sea lions and a variety of ocean birds. We have photos and videos of the trip that will keep it alive in our hearts. The price is more than reasonable; I shopped these types of attractions well before our trip, and I feel like we received more than our money's worth with Newport Landing. This was a favorite part of our California vacation for me!

We got our tickets in advance on the internet for $13 person (+ $4 fuel charge). We got lucky and went on a day that the whales were traveling North, and got to see lots of whales!- March 24th, 2014. The boat stayed a respectful distance, but we were able to easily see the whales rise in and out of the water. A few times they did their "tail slapping". We got to watch the whales for a good hour, so had a wonderful time. On the way back, we sighted a few dolphins and the sea lions on the buoy. It was a great trip... well worth the money. It was a perfect time of year to watch the whales migrate up North.

Was in Orange county for a business meeting with work friends so we decided to try to see some whales. Used a coupon from a tourist flyer to save, booked ourselves for an upcoming trip, and loaded on to the boat. Headed out to sea and almost immediately saw many common dolphins swimming along side the boat! Enjoyed the cheep beers for sale on the boat as well. Didn't eat the burgers, but they certainly smelled good. Next thing we knew, there was a gray whale and her calf! We followed them (from a respectful distance) for about 30 minutes. Breathtaking and so much better than any sea world attraction. Seeing these beautiful creatures in their own habitat was worth way more than the small price we paid. Would definitely recommend this experience!
