It was Sunday and we checked out of our hotel at noon. We were hungry and a little late in the game started calling restaurants for reservations. Our first several choices were booked up and we were really glad they were as it turned out. Bluewater does not take reservations but on this Sunday at around 1pm we were seated immediately. We sat outside and looked at the boats that were docked. Very nice. My brother-in-law and I ordered a bloody mary and they have a station on the inside where you can add your own degree of spiciness to your drink. Great idea.
We then ordered our food. Most of us had crab sandwiches which were delicious and I also ordered the fried oysters which were incredible. Service was good, friendly diners... just generally a very relaxing nice place.

They do not take reservations, so even arriving early on a Saturday evening we were expecting a long wait for the patio: really, it's the best part of the restaurant to dine if you like to ogle big boats and wonderful sunsets. Turns out we timed it perfectly. Menu weights towards fish, duh!, but you can get a burger, if you must. Choices are many and varied, but they post the dishes that feature whatever's been caught for each night, which really helped narrow it down. Wife loves scallops, and was not disappointed. Based on the update board, I chose the Seafood Paella Valenciana, which generally also contains chicken along with mussels, shrimp and clams. I didn't find chicken, but the sausage substitute was great (unless you don't like sausage.) A little Saffron can go a long way, but as I told our server (who was a hoot, but that's another story), it was the best Paella I've had, including in Barcelona. Street parking is nonexistant, so just pull in to Valet next to the BWG and enjoy the evening!

We were a party of nine and ate at this restaurant. All of us enjoyed our food except the appetizer fried smelts. We came from Michigan and were fond of smelts. But the smelts were fishy and not fresh. It was a disappointment. The mussels and clams in white wine were tasty.
The restaurant offers valet parking which save us from driving around.
All in all, we will go back again.

We picked this restaurant because they had Duffy boat docks. We went on a Sunday evening around 7:30 pm. Waited for only 5 minutes but restaurant was packed! Server was visibly overwhelmed with "whatever?" Issues she had that night. She rushed us through the ordering process because she got triple sat by the hostess. Our order consisted of a couple standard wedge salad, 3 soft drinks, glass of wine, and a water to start. That took about 20 minutes to get to the table. We ordered buttered noodles for a child....which took 30 minutes and then it had clam sauce on it so it had to be returned?? My Miso Cod was foul! It had the consistency of runny mashed potatoes and I couldn't even eat 4 bites but I was never checked on so I tried to eat the half cooked green beans that came with the dish. Very disappointing. The table next to us had multiple complaints also. We also had a clam dish...very mediocre. We were not able to finish that either. Finally when the server checked on us ... 15 minutes into the meal, we were so exhausted from our busy day that we took the check and got out of there. Oh, she did take off the cost for the buttered noodles. Not impressed!
