THis restaurant was everything we could have wished for last night. Friendly, relaxed, interesting menu, excellent wine list, top class food. Located in the main street of Balboa Island, and clearly a long term fixture on the island, we found ourselves surrounded by locals and long standing regular clients - a superb recommendation in itself.
We chose the Angel Hair pasta with shrimp and the Calamari stuffed with Crab in a sherry sauce. Both were outstandingly good, and to our surprise we finshed every bit!
From the wine list, we chose a Pine Ridge Chenin/Viognier blend (very unusual around here), which was reasonably priced and outstandingly good.
We also chose a couple of desserts which we enjoyed, although they proved to be a bit more 'ordinary' than the rest of the fare.
