My wife and I rented a car and was exploring Southern California. We found a parking space in Newport Beach, fed the parking meter and began walking around. The boardwalk along the beach is a fun walk around area, full of quaint shops and restaurants with outdoor seating. Since it was late afternoon and we had not eaten since breakfast, we luckily discovered an Italian restaurant down a tiny side street. We always prefer to be seated outside, and oh mercy to our delight: We found this restaurant to have pure Italian wine and food. We ordered and shared: Antipasto di Pesce Stromboli -- Baby octopus, calamari, baby shrimp, fresh julienne vegetables cappers, black olives, lemon and extra virgin olive and a bottle of Mazzoni Toscana Rosso 2010 Sangiovese from Tuscany, Italy. The service was excellent, great Italian bread and wonderful food.
