don't go here if you are in a hurry and in search of a value meal, but do go if you have time to spend chatting and soaking up the view. ask to sit by the window or outside. their sunday buffet is so so, but the entree items are delicious and they will special order. service is painfully slow even when you don't special order. we also went for the thanksgiving buffet as a break from the ritz carlton. the sunday buffet was in a big dining hall. no view. tables were not ready when guests with reservations arrived. people were bumping into each other trying to get into their crowded tables. lots of food, but not many vegetables or healthy items. a lot of rolls and gooed up stuff. overall to eat at first cabin or have drinks in the bar where the view is, is worth the trip for the experience of the bay.

One of our favorite upscale restaurants, the food & service is impeccable, great outdoor dining, cool bar scene. Award wining chef and manager Giovanni do a sterling job.

A lot of places in the area have Taco Tuesdays so this was a really nice change. The atmosphere is relaxed, the decor is nice, modern and almost chic which we did not really expect from a place that does special on burgers. The beer and wine list is varied and we appreciated that.

The burgers were delicious and juicy and I think that the fries were probably the best fries I've ever had (and I love fries). The service was friendly and there was an excellent piano player there that night.

This Newport Beach restaurant has several dining areas including an enclosed patio. A trio played throughout the evening in the bar area and were very nice additions to the ambience of the restaurant. You could hear the music in different areas of the restaurant.

I enjoyed an unusual warm soup made with ginger and carrot. It was topped with creme fraiche and was very tasty and unique. The bowl was large.

Followed up by a perfectly cooked and prepared swordfish on a bed of a Lemon Risotto in a light sauce. This also was excellent.

Waiter very attentive. Everything was perfect.

A cocktail, soup, entree including tax and tip was $60. For the money it was worth it. A memorable meal not often duplicated at the average restaurant.
