“Loved Chow 2 ... hip, casual, diverse menu, knowledgeable waiter, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

We rode down to the PCH location (behind Spaghetti Bender)on our Harley, stopped at Chow 2 for a quick bite. Great coastal ride from HB, parking lot near enough to keep tabs on our bike. Restaurant casual and hip enough to make our windblown appearance OK (not the case everywhere in Newport). Our waiter was just wonderful... we started with great onion rings with a rich blue cheese sauce, plus nice Reisling and what seemed like a bottomless, berried Sangria. Menu was really, really diverse with lots of fresh and interesting. Lauren had good but not great Cuban sandwich. Laura had smart, saucy, rich and abundant with seafood Cioppino. Teensy bit salty on the Cioppino, but it was wonderful. Great experience, not cheap but not outrageous. Great quality food, can't wait to return and try some other dishes.

“Eat Chow 2 is great value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

We went here on the recommendation of the Best Western desk clerk. We were very happy he sent us there. The food was quite tasty, and except for the Macho Salsa which turned out to be wimpy, the flavors exceeded our expectations. My husband had the salmon tacos on corn torts, and I had the 5 cheese Mac n' cheese (half order, which was quite enough). I also had the shrimp in peppers appetizer, and these had the kick the salsa should have had. Finally we topped dinner off with a dish of ice cream and a berry compote with whipped cream. The compote was more a pudding with berries on top. And it was a nice ending to the meal. Suggestion: on the weekend, get there by 6 pm, or you might have to wait a while for seating. Service was speedy and enthusiastic.

“Great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

Every time I go, the parmesan truffle fries is a must. Love the Ruben sandwich but to order a bit lighter, I got the Thai beef salad and have been hooked on it ever since. YUM ! I'd like to try their other dishes that look good but can't get past that salad.

“Great Burger”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

I visited Newport for the first time and my family ventured to Eat Chow for dinner. I ordered the burger and it was great. They had a wide variety available on the menu and it was reasonably priced. The seating is not plentiful but it is a very cool place to have a bite to eat and sit back and chat. The restaurant is very clean and in style.
