As a husband, I usually don't consider a shopping mall an attraction. I must make an exception for the Fashion Island Mall.

First, the shopping. Fashion Island is definitely not a collection of discount outlets. It is anchored by several of the big-name department stores: Nordstroms, Macy's, Bloomingdales, and Neiman-Marcus. In addition there are many specialty shops focusing largely on fashions, shoes etc, not surprisingly given the mall's name! There are a number of other establishments that make the visit enjoyable for the husbands and boyfriends not enthusiastic about shopping. There's a Tesla showroom which offers and insight into this exciting concept and a great pet store where one can view many available puppies and other animals.

Another great advantage to we non-shoppers is the immaculately maintained mall. The landscaping in spectacular with fountains and a particularly interesting carp pond. The mall has a wide selection of comfortable chairs where one can people watch, see the kids at the carp pond or just relax in the sun; my favourite pastime.

Additionally, there are a number of eating opportunities. None that we have tried have disappointed, but overall 59th and Lex at Bloomingdale's is our favourite.

There's plenty of parking and the mall is easy to get at from any direction.

Worth a visit, even for non-shoppers.

We stopped here on our last day in the area and even though our trip was not about shopping, this was a wonderful stop.
Such a pretty mall and a fun place to really feel what Orange county is. The people in the mall were surprisingly helpful and nice.
Great shops and restaurants. There was also the nicest Whole Foods I have ever visited attatched to the mall.
Definitely worth stopping by for a visit before you leave the area.

This is such a fun place to shop. It's lovely to wander through Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, sit and people-watch by the beautiful towering Christmas tree, enjoy a treat from the Cheesecake Factory and relish the fact that shopping outdoors like this is a treat in late autumn for the midwesterner.

This outdoor mall is beautiful! So many great stores and something for everyone. There are also several great restaurants and a movie theater too! So many shops to choose from. They have anything from department stores such as; Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Macy's. and many other stores like; Z Gallerie, kate spade, Victoria's Secret, apple store, anthropologie, etc... Plus you can bring your dog with you basically everywhere here!
You won't be disappointed if you visit this mall! :)

An interesting outdoor mall with a wide variety of shops and lots of great food places, both stand alone and food court. Great for people watching.
