“Amazing cottage in downtown Nevada City”
Reviewed April 9, 2018 for a stay in March 2018

My wife and I recently rented this amazing cottage the week of our wedding in Nevada City and it was nothing short of spectacular. The place is so beautiful inside and out that we actually took some of our wedding photos there! The owner has clearly taken care of the house and maintained charming details like stain glass windows and balconies while still having modern amenities that make staying there extremely enjoyable.

The location is also perfect. You are walking distance from anything you want in town (restaurants, coffee shop, bars, shopping, banks, etc.) while also being able to enjoy peace and privacy at the house if you prefer. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nevada City, and my wife and I will definitely be back!

“Charming Victorian cottage in the heart Nevada City”
Reviewed February 26, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Beautifully decorated charming cottage on the main street of Nevada City. Lots of fun shops and restaurants to make this a really nice getaway destination. The cottage was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. We were able to stay for only one night, the owner Marney, was able to accommodate this request since the previous guests couldn't make it. Doing so made my surprise birthday celebration from my husband Fantastic! We will certainly be back!

“Perfect Little Getaway”
Reviewed January 8, 2018 for a stay in September 2017

We live less than an hour from Nevada City, but when I saw this property while on a day trip, I knew I needed to return with my husband and stay here. So charming and cozy. Beautifully decorated. Perfectly located. We crossed the street for our morning coffee and pastries. Walked to the restaurants. The property has many little nooks to sit with a good book and while away the hours.
We discovered we were there the same weekend as a celebration, with a parade on the street the property is on. The owner, Marney, let us stay a few hours longer so we could watch the parade! We had the best view in town, sitting on the upstairs balcony!

“Awesome spot”

This place is spectacular. Right in town, but perfectly quiet. Close to great restaurants and bars, but a quiet oasis when home.

“Wonderful stay would come again in a heartbeat”
Reviewed July 11, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

The Two Room in for our wedding night was perfect. Quaint and charming it was just the topping to the best day of our lives. Marney was wonderful and accomodating. I would come back for our 1st anniversary stay or any reason to come and stay at the inn.

“Lasting Memories of the Two Room Inn”
Reviewed October 5, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We reserved the Two Room Inn for our daughter's wedding at the Miners Foundry, which is two blocks away. We had no idea how amazing the weekend would be, how pivotal this incredible gem of a house would be - lasting memories. First of all Marney was amazingly friendly and quick to respond every step of the way. It felt far more personal than typical reservation experiences. The pictures of this home do NOT do this place justice. We were expecting it to be far "cozier" than it is. This place is classy, elegant and spacious! THe house is a feast for the eyes - the antiques are lovely, the stained glass windows are amazing - we have some amazing photography of our daughter, the bride, in this house. The kitchen is more than stocked with anything you can possibly need. With two decks, you have the ability to entertain - we had 20 out-of-town guests come for a barbeque the night before the wedding - the large private and enclosed deck in back was perfect - I brought all kinds of disposable products and discovered more wine, champagne, coffee and regular glasses than we could ever use and the fiestaware dishes were so colorful and fun! This home has a deck right off the front for the enjoyment of watching Broad Street tourists go by. The upstairs bistro set on the balcony was a perfect spot to have brunch the day after the wedding. Every single thing you need is there. Our daughter's wedding party got ready at the house. We used the incredible stained glass bay window for photos, the garden for photo shots of the gown and rings, etc. I look forward to going back for a leisurely stay with friends. Sitting at the top of Broad Street, this house is a perfect spot because you can stroll down to shops and restaurants. The entire wedding party strolled to the wedding venue! So fun to stroll down the street dressed to the nines! You don't need your car, although there are two spots available for guests. Finally, the church bells next door on Sunday morning made it feel like a slice of Americana you just don't get anymore. We will definately be back!
