The hotel is generally pretty good but rooms near the laundry are subject to noises from mid morning until 9:30 pm that often reach the intensity of a helicopter landing overhead. These rooms are unacceptable and hard to avoid as the laundry seems to be in the middle of the first floor - at least the mid area on the second was right on top of it.

Room Tip: Make sure it isn't above the laundry

We stayed for 3 nights at a very busy time of the year. The staff was very accommodating and
professional. The concierge lounge served a good breakfast. They have a wine tasting in the lobby every evening (free!) The only disappointment was the gym. Considering it is a "Spa", it should have more cardio equipment, a greater variety of weights and some weight machines.
You can walk along Solano Avenue, depending on the weather. The hotel was very quiet, we heard no noise or voices late at night. One of the concierge', Donna, is a gem. She is the most knowledable individual I met in Napa. The outside has numerous heat lamps for those chilly nights.

Room Tip: Our room faced the courtyard, so there was not any traffic noise.

I arrived at the hotel at 7pm on a Friday night, to be told that my room wasn't ready yet!!! This meant we had to change our clothes in one of the restrooms for dinner. An hour later we received a call that our room was ready.
The room was a typical Marriott, comfortable and clean.
We ate a meal in the restaurant, which was okay, nothing to rave about. Service was off--our cocktails arrived with our meal. Do not order the crispy asparagus. The asparagus was stringy, not at all crispy.
The outdoor lounge with fire pits was very nice, although once again, service was poor: a waiter passed us several times and never asked us if we wanted anything. We finally had to order our drinks at the bar.
The workout room had great machines. It was clean and everything was in working order.
This had received 4 stars in reviews I read. I found it not worth the money nor the 4 stars. I am glad I got it on a discounted site.

-What I liked about this Marriott property was the manager's personal attention to detail.
We had a once in a lifetime event ,daughter's wedding and he personally spoke to me about important details; even though our event was held at a country venue nearby and he had 3 other weddings-the place was packed.
However they maintained a modicam of enjoyable Hopitality. Eg: They opened the inside sliders to let fresh air so you never got the old food, milky smell when catering many meals.Thanks.
Also we had some older folks who needed help with so much hubbub when they came in-Evening clothes tumbling, ect. I as able to quickly get the attention do a bell man to assist-that's where we Tip.
Also their gentleman concierge was helpful when an important contact fell thru last minute.
I was pleasantly surprised mostly about the whole area.

We booked our one night stay through Priceline, and wondered if they have special rooms for we discounters. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, but the beds in the room kept us up all night - hard and uncomfortable. We also had to unplug the refrigerator - when we arrived, it was humming loudly and we couldn't imagine sleeping hearing that. We did arrive late and asked for additional pillows & blankets - they were delivered very quickly. The location is good, but I think I will only try for 3 1/2 stars to try to get comfortable beds. Our backs and necks will appreciate that in the future.

Room Tip: Call ahead and ask if they have upgraded beds? The standard ones are horrible!

The Marriott Napa was wonderful and the staff incredible. We were greated and checked in by Marvin. He was polite professional and caring. He made us feel at home, assured us our stay would be outstanding and he was true to his words. The entire staff was well trained and the concierge gave us some great recommendations for meals and wineries. They recommended Del Dotto and were spot on. My wife and I look forward to returning as time allows.

Room Tip: Pool view. I would also recommend paying extra for the concierge lounge. The food was great and it a...

Overall, my family and I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. No significant complaints. It's what we expected for a large chain hotel. It seems like all the hotels in Napa are within a reasonable driving distance to all the wineries. This hotel is right off the highway.

We paid extra for the "concierge lounge" daily food/beverage service. Here's what you get:
- breakfast every morning - basically it's your standard continental breakfast (cereals, yogurt, granola, fruit, toast/bagels, coffee, fresh juice), but it also includes "hot breakfast" options of already made scrambled eggs (2 kinds - with and without bacon/ham) and oatmeal.
- throughout the day, bananas, apples, coffee, tea, bottled water, and sodas are available
- in the late afternoon, there are appetizers such as cheese, crackers, olives, and a few hot items such as fried zucchini or cauliflower

I think having breakfast available each morning from 0630-0900 is helpful, especially when you're with a larger group (we were 7). We planned to leave the hotel each morning at 10am, so everyone ate their preferred breakfast on their own time schedule.

There's complimentary wine in the lobby in the late afternoon from 5-6pm.

The hotel offers complimentary wi-fi in the lobby only - you need to pay for wi-fi if you'd like it in your hotel room. Complimentary wi-fi should be standard in most hotel rooms these days, especially when you're paying $150+ per night for a room.

Room Tip: The hotel is two-storied. We had a room facing one of the courtyards, southern view, you could see t...
