“Convenient location, clean rooms”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Spent a Friday night here with friends during a short weekend getaway from the Bay Area. Rooms spacious and clean. Convenient location to Highway 29. My room faced highway side. Could not see the highway because of trees/plants and did not hear the highway either.

Nice to have drinks and snacks during the Manager's Cocktail Hour. Breakfast had plenty of choices - made to order omelets, pancakes, bacon, sausage, and oatmeal for hot food; cereal, toast, English muffins, muffins, fruit, yogurt made up the cold food. Juice and coffee too.

Appreciated the Wall Street Journals available in the lobby. Friendly check-in. If I stayed longer, I could see the mini fridge and microwave becoming quite handy. Did not use the pools - but noticed lots of people using the indoor pool (it was mid-March).

I'd stay again.

Great location for access to wine tours, large rooms with adequate quality accommodations, good beds, very nice inside and outside space for eating and reception, good food at complimentary breakfast, family friendly property and a very efficient and personable staff.

I am so pleased that I made the decision to stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Napa Valley California instead of the more expensive boutique hotels in the valley. The grounds are very nice with both an indoor and outdoor pool.I spent three weeks trying to settle on a date and a hotel only to see the prices on the boutique hotels go up and down as bookings were made and cancelled and I still couldn't find a suite room like the Embassy. For a destination hotel I really want a sofa and chair along with a working desk and we got that along with many more pleasant surprises. The décor was far more interesting in person than the online pictures were able to show. The sofa had a chaise along one side- coffee table and matching lamps facing the TV console- Very comfortable and so nice to come back to after a long day of wine tasting and Napa Valley fun. Some of the room highlights for me was a sink vanity with make up lights in the bedroom with a canister full of cotton balls and Q-tips- really nice touch. The bar area has a three layer coffee caddie that included a wine bottle opener and lids for the "to-go" coffee cups. So nice to have a real coffee mugs instead of the cheap foam cups provided in so many places. The comp bar drinks and snacks were a nice touch the breakfast provided a made to order omelet and the typical breakfast fare. breakfast fare. Although not in the heart of the valley- the hotel is located close to the freeway and made for a fast getaway on departure day.

Room Tip: No tips here as some of the rooms open into an atrium and others to the outdoor courtyard. It is a v...

Great location; easy to locate off highway; excellent grounds with pond and swans; and very convenient to the wine country of Napa Valley, Sonoma and Russian River. Good pools and fitness center. Managers' reception was good quality and very nice selection of snacks. Breakfast was fresh, satisfying nicely cooked. Staff were very efficient and friendly.

Huge rooms. Nice couch and tvs. Breakfast was standard. Clean rooms. Convenient location near the outlets. It's a nice Napa Hotel for business and wine tasting. They had wine tasting at happy hour. I'd recommend this hotel for family too

Beautiful lobby, immaculate rooms. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Walking distance to downtown Napa. The free breakfast is pretty tasty for being included in the price: they have eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and more. It's not amazing, but it's filling and not bad - kind of like a Denny's quality level. The manager's reception from 5:30-7:30pm provides plentiful, free, (cheap) alcohol and they have a great patio area to enjoy it. I love having a door between the living room and the bedroom so that the kids can go to sleep early and the adults can still hangout. A few minor complaints:
-The pool is a bit cold. I don't know the exact temperature, but we're used to a warmer pool. There is of course a hot tub, which is very nice.
-The foldout couch is not comfortable. I know they rarely are, but in case you were hoping to put a grownup on it, they will not be happy. Our friend that stayed on it just put folded it back and slept on the couch
-The internet is just barely fast enough for most tasks, but it could be faster. Also, they have this strange setup where you have to say you're buying it every day for 24 hours, and after you agree to pay, it tells you it won't charge you, but it's still a bit odd
-While the TVs have an HDMI input, you can't use it for anything (such as an Xbox) because the TV is locked down and has no way to switch to that input \

All things considered, we'd definitely come back.

stayed at this hotel because of its price; during this time of year all napa hotels are very expensive. the embassy suites has a beautiful lobby; the room was very clean and nice; the included manager's evening reception and full breakfast made for an excellent value overall. i would definitely rec this hotel to others.
