“Arbor House is a gem!”
Reviewed July 3, 2007

My wife and I just returned to LA after a three-night stay at the Arbor House and simply put, we had a wonderful time. The location is close to the center attractions of Napa, but unlike many B&Bs in town, is not on a busy street. Translation: quiet and romantic. We are seasoned B&B tourists and enjoy meeting and conversing with the hosts. Beverly could not have been more hospitable and ensured we were well taken care of without being obtrusive. The house was constructed in 1906 (following the SF earthquake), and although it is over 100 years old, it has been very well maintained and everything works (water, toilet, shower, etc). The seciuded breakfast under the grape abors is an absolute joy, with pastries from a local French bakery, fresh fruit, and an entrée lovingly prepared by the hostess. Maps and daily happenings are printed the day prior, so you have plenty of time to plan your next day wine excursions. We were self-sufficient, but it was great to compare notes and will definitely be back. By the way, when walking through the neighborhood, be sure to check out the artist’s house at Spencer and E Streets. Very memorable—as was our entire experience at the Arbor House. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Arbor Guest House for a weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were both at ease. Our room (The Winter Haven) was very clean and tastefully decorated. The spa jacuzzi tub for two in our room was a nice touch!!

The innkeeper Beverly, prepared two of the most delicious gourmet breakfasts for us during our stay. Next time we visit Napa, we will definitely stay at The Arbor House again.

We spent 2 nights at the Arbor Guest House and couldn't be more pleased. Beverly, the innkeeper, is a gracious lovely woman and makes the best breakfasts, pecan, blueberry french toast, eggs florentine, served in a beautiful garden that was bursting in bloom, roses everywhere, a sensory delight!
We stayed in the spring fancy room, which was perfect. The location is great and the pictures on the web site do not show the true beauty of the inn. Beverly suggested one last vineyard to visit before leaving Napa, the Artesa... a view not to be missed.

Very nice little inn that is run by the owner's mother in law, who is delightful and far from jaded (regular B&B goers know about jaded---none here!). Nice breakfast, decent location, fair price. Will return.

I discovered Arbor House when looking for a place to take my husband for his 40th birthday last year. This past weekend marked our third stay. We've seen all the rooms and they are gorgeous, but we always stay in Winter Haven. It has the largest jacuzzi tub I've ever seen and it faces the fireplace. Add a bottle of a wine and life doesn't get any better.....until you wake up the next morning. Fresh fruit and scones or croissants always start your breakfast. The main entree, however, is anyone's guess. Our last visit brought us french toast stuffed with orange zest, blueberries, walnuts and cream cheese on Saturday and spinach and cheese stratta with sausage on Sunday. The innkeeper, Beverly, is from Virginia and if you didn't know it by her accent, you'd know by her Southern hospitality. Helpful, friendly, but also unobtrusive if you're looking for peace and quiet. The inn is also conveniently located to great dining and shopping, as well as the wineries this region is so famous for.

The Arbor House is a wonderful, romantic B&B. My wife and I showed up early because we had booked a lunch aboard the wine train and needed a place to park. Beverly was surprised but very helpful and accommodating. She gave us a map of Napa and sent us on our way. When we returned, we were welcomed and given a tour of our suite. The rooms that we had were located in a building beside the main house and had a separate entrance. The room was very spacious with a separate large bathroom that included a 2 person whirlpool tub. There were many small details (candles, chocolates, wine glasses, etc.) to add to the atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was very good and lots of it, however, we were not given the opportunity to request anything different. Beverly did ask if we had any special requirements or diet restrictions the day before so I am sure she would accommodate that if needed. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.
