We just returned from our trip to Napa and San Francisco,, this property is a challenge to find without a gps, but once found easy to find second time around, It was a very fresh group of condo's or timeshares, the rooms were very very nice, the bathrooms to die for, we had a fireplace in the living room, a jacuzzi tub for two in bedroom, large kitchen, easily could accomodate large group with two bed in adjoining room,, we got a great price off travelzoo, but would still be a good deal for group or family. the room comes with a bottle of wine to get things started, it really is a short drive to napa main street, In Napa you need a car anyway, do yourself a favor, stay in the this elegant private quiet retreat and drive a few extra minutes once a day,, two thumbs Up

My husband and I are in the hotel industry. We loved everything about the Vino Bello Resort and would stay there again and recommend it to everyone. The service at the front desk was excellent! Our room was very large and modern. We had a comfortable king bed, large bathroom with oval tub/shower, washer and dryer and a kitchen/bar area. The room was extremely clean! We loved the pool, fire pits, and wine tasting areas too. We were disappointed with Siena (restaurant). The service and food wasn't good. Go somewhere else to eat. The rooms at the Vino Bello are larger and more modern than the adjoining Meritage hotel. Hotel is a little bit out of the way from the tourist spots, but worth it.

We saw a great rate through Travelzoo, and spent a few extra bucks for the 1 bedroom. Wow, is this a great place. We had an end unit on garden level, so our patio was quite private. The bathroom and shower are huge, kitchen has everything you need, complimentary wine and sodas/water are already in the fridge, there's a comfy bed and the place was QUIET... it was easy to make ourselves at home right away and get good sleep. We love Napa and Sonoma valley, but it was hard to leave the room to explore it!

Only drawbacks we experienced: We were a bit dismayed by the kindof pushy sales pitch (for timeshare presentation) by the Concierge desk person when we asked an unrelated question, but after several 'no thank yous' from us, he relented and allowed us to be on our way back to this GREAT room. The only other thing we discovered was that there was a wine tasting/appetizer event going on right in the lobby at the time we checked in, but the front desk person never even mentioned it to us - - would have been an even nicer way to begin our stay, if we had known about it. We ended up reading about it in our room long after the fact. Aside from these fairly minor things, it is an awesome place to stay if you can get a good rate.

Stayed there in late October last year on a girl's (long) weekend. Room was very nice and well-maintained. Everything was very clean. It had a big bathroom with plenty of room. We had the room w/ a full kitchen, dining area, living room.

There is a restaurant there, but we didn't use it. We did eat at the bar one evening, and the food was good if a bit overpriced (but that's to be expected when dining at a hotel, so it wasn't really a surprise).

The building we stayed in had a fitness center, but it was rather bare bones (we did notice the fitness center in another building looked a lot nicer than the one in our building...don't recall the name of the building we were in).

It is conveniently located to a Target and grocery store, which was great since we had the full kitchen. We also found it a convenient location to visit both Napa and Sonoma wineries (~20 - 30 minute drive, depending on where we were headed)....granted, not as convenient as staying right in Yountville or Sonoma maybe, but also generally not as expensive.

Reasons I gave it 4 instead of 5: the room had a hairdryer that was literally spitting sparks and we had to call 2 or 3 times before they finally replaced it. Also, we did not consistently get our towels replaced (for example, 1 day we were only given 4 clean towels, no washcloths or hand towels...the next day we got hand towels, still not washcloths even though we'd called and asked for some). Also, the room does come w/ a mini clothes washer and dryer, which is nice, but the despite following the instructions on how to run them, they took quite a bit of fiddling with to get them to run, and they were very loud (sounded like a jet engine taking off). And, as I mentioned before, the fitness center in our building was only barely adequate (not sure if we could've used the nicer one in the other building or not)

All in all though, it was a very nice, quite place to stay while in the area and I would recommend it overall.

Like many other Expedia customers, we read the reviews of several hotels. We picked Vino Bello based on location, price and positive reviews. Napa in March is actually very nice. It isn't crowded, the hills and valley are very green and the temperatures were pleasant. Even though the grapes are not on the vine yet, the vineyards still look very nice and the winery staff were all pleasant to talk with. I can say that the hotel exceeded our expectations in cleanliness, attentive staff / concierge, and in location. The rooms were cleaner than other mid tier hotels we have stayed at. The amount of amenities in the one bedroom condos was an added delight. We loved the full kitchen, gas fireplace and great view of the hillside vineyard. All of the décor was warm and up to date. All of the appliances were clean and worked well. The bathroom was very clean and appealing with a large walk in shower with 5 shower heads, double vanity in a raised counter, etc. The Jacuzzi tub was the largest I’ve experienced in any hotel and again spotless. The concierge hooked us up with a great wine tour with a good discount compared to what the others on the wine tour bus were paying. The staff was very nice and seemed delighted to answer our questions about the area and our interests. The location of the hotel is kind of in a business area, but is very well maintained, looks nice and only a few turns from the main road that leads to Napa. We are already planning our next trip!
