I'm not sure if it was because we were in a room blocked off for a wedding but I was really disappointed by how much we spent for something that would equal that of a mass mid-tier hotel chain. If I had known what it was like, I would have just booked at the Holiday Inn or elsewhere which actually have really clean and decent rooms. Our room was on the first floor and some of our lamps didn't work. But the hospitality and efficiency is there so that was taken care of immediately. The gym from the looks of it is great in terms of the size and number of machines, but the only problem is that half the cardio machines didn't even work properly so a lot of people would wait around. The restaurant with the bowling alley had really great service but the food was so upsetting, a bad asian fusion dish made me so sad. But maybe that was my mistake in the first place for ordering an asian fusion dish. Better off ordering drinks and fries. Another friend who also stayed on the first floor said that their room faced a courtyard and that it was incredibly loud as there was a wedding going on both nights and weren't able to get a good night's rest. That is poor hotel planning right there. I have a feeling the rooms on other floors in different parts of the hotel were better, but for the price we paid for our stay it was really upsetting as we could have gone elsewhere and paid just as much for a better experience. Also, we were all from New York and our hotel rates are pretty high. We all agreed that the rooms we got at the hotel didn't make sense for the cost in comparison to really nice NYC hotel rooms like at The Hudson, etc. I hope other people had a better experience than we did.
