“A "must" for Napa brunch”
Reviewed March 11, 2014 via mobile

There is a plethora of fine dining choices in Napa Valley, and brunch is no exception. But don't miss this one. Torc is a rising star and we have enjoyed exceptional dinners on several occasions. I am not a big brunch fan but this Sunday changed my mind. Our server Tifanny was great, knowledgable on the menu and paced the meal nicely. We started with a glass of champagne and then leisurely moved on to a round of deviled eggs, cured steelhead, and the kampachi crudo. Both fish choices were super fresh and the preparations quite simple but they knocked us out. The camachi was the shining star, with the chilies adding the perfect kick. So good, we ordered a second plate. Too many Interesting choices left, so we chose four more dishes for the three of us... wild mushroom benedict, huckleberry hotcakes, chicken hash, and croque madame. The
hash was amazing, one of the best brunch offerings I have ever had. Every ingredient shined through but collectively they were a delight. Our guest said the croque was his best ever, eclipsing it's counterpart at Bouchon. We enjoyed every plate, but still kept thinking about the fish. So one more each of the steelhead and kampachi and we had to surrender. An awesome wine list made it easy to find a gem to compliment the savory dishes we enjoyed.

Worth the visit, can't wait to go back!

“Ah-MAZING!”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

My husband and I drove up from the city for our annual trip to Yountville. We usually stick to restaurant-row in Yountville (love Ad Hoc!) but decided to try something new. Our consierge recommended Torc noting it "the BEST new restaurant". We LOVED our experience!!! Our server was very knowledgable and gave great recommendations. They had nearly 40 beers available. Wines by the glass were interesting and I opted for something I'd never had (Erbaluce) while my husband tried a beer. We had the pakora as many people mentioned it on yelp. What a great snack! Our server guided us through the menu letting us know how to approach each course. We had the beet salad and kampache crudo to start, shared the gnocchi with squash purée and bacon as a mid course and had the chicken for 2 as an entree (SO good!). We were so full by dessert that we were going to skip dessert but had to try the brown butter ice cream that is made in house. So glad we did! We will definitely be back!

“Highly recommend dinner at TORC - just wonderful!”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

We were lucky to stumble across this restaurant when many others were closed (Super Bowl night). Meals were beautifully presented, flavours excellent, service attentive but unobtrusive, overall an excellent dining experience and NOT obscenely priced as is often the case with fine dining establishments. Interesting menu which is not huge but there'd be something to satisfy everyone's tastes. Wine list is extensive, decor is modern minimalist. We've been holidaying in USA for the last three weeks and this is the best dining experience so far!!!

“A must when dining in Napa”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

The food at Torc not only tastes amazing but is beautiful to the eye. My husband and I love dining here with friends and sharing from all parts of the menu.

The dining room is gorgeous and the music selection is fun! As a local I like the selection of California wines and European wines and all go with the balance of the food.

Reviewed January 27, 2014

Wow!!! We dined at Torc this past Saturday, crazy good! Chicken wings with lime and jalapeno, killer! Then had black truffle risotto, the chef made it rain like the spearmint rhino! Great beer list!
Can't wait to get back to Napa to check it out again. Nicole was our server, she was great. Relaxed ambiance, great music, great energy! Try the chocolate bomb for desert.
