Located in downtown Napa, CA. this establishment is fun to visit. Seems "expensive" coming in the door, but that wears off after being seated.

Four of us really enjoyed our wine tasting earlier in the day and with the smell of the BBQ (and two of the four being winners of BBQ competitions and from the South), we made the decision to eat dinner at Bounty Hunter. First, I will note the restaurant has a great selection of wines (huge selection), and the wine club is fantastic. The girl that poured for us (didn't get her name but she spent a great deal of time with us and is from CA area) educated us greatly on the different wines we were tasting.
For dinner, we ordered beer can chicken which we have all made ourselves before, I had the beet salad for an appetizer and we ordered the platter of pulled pork, brisket and cole slaw. The sauces were spicy, had the right kick to them, and the Chipotle Buttered Corn was hot and buttery with just enough spice to it. The chicken pulled off the breast, was moist and tender. We could have just ordered the chicken or the platter, because it was a lot of food! We had been tasting wine all day, so we knew we needed a lot of food.
We arrived at six pm and had about a twenty minute wait that went quickly. It is noisy but fun. Everyone is friendly and inviting. Service was quick, and the food came out hot and delicious. When thinking about Napa, I don't think about BBQ. This was a gem of a surprise. Try this restaurant and the wines when visiting wine country.

The wife and I shared the whole chicken cooked on a can. It was outstanding, great flavors good spices and juicy. It came with side barbque sauces. We ony ate half the bird and the rest was packed in a plastic bag. We had the cole slaw which was the bomb and a side salad also yummy.

We were drawn to this restaurant by the smell coming from the smoker outside the restaurant. The food was great, wonderful smoky flavor without BBQ sauce(which was provided if you wanted to add it). Excellent cole slaw and baked beans as well. Pair with their wine offerings - this is a must!!

When we heard "BBQ" we were expecting the sweet BBQ that we get in Georgia - Boy, were we in for a surprise! This is smokey, rich, fall apart BBQ, perfect with a glass (or bottle) of red wine. And they have an incredible selection of wines, beers and spirits. We got there about 5:00PM and were able to get their BBQ sampler plate (a smaller version of their $33 sampler platter) for only $10 - gotta love an early bird special! We split the sampler and bought a bottle of their early bird special red Zinfandel (only $20 for a bottle). Then we split their Kobe sliders with a side of Chipotle Buttered Corn on the Cob. Everything was delicious and the servers were knowledge and enthusiastic about their menu. If we have time, we will definitely return.
