It's just a little ways off the beaten path but that makes a huge difference. Pearl has a lot of charm and a good comfort food menu. I like to sit up at the bar counter and watch them prepare my meal.

Sat at the bar waiting for our table, we arrived early. Was great to see chef in action. Our meal was very good, the waiter seemed to be a little short with us. Don't know if it was because we took our time with the menu, or if he was just having a bad night. We didn't let it ruin our fun or the delicious food we were served.

Those 3 words define our first day in Napa celebrating our 20th anniversary with friends. Friday daytime was spent on a small family run vineyard with an inviting ranch house dating back to the 1800s. With the theme of the day being Tasty, Simple and Local, the vineyard staff recommended Pearl and arranged our reservations with proprietors Nickie and Pete Zeller, who greeted us on arrival.

While the day was surprisingly sunny and warm for February, it cooled off, and comfort food seemed fitting. The meatloaf plate was plenty to split, the fennel sausage making the dish. The fish tacos were recommended if they were Tuna, and our friend raved about them.

We also agree that the wine list is good value for money and fits the menu well. Zagat 25/30, give Pearl a go!

Oysters were good, polenta was good, meatloaf was good, chicken verde was good, but a pain to eat...

We decided to eat here after waiting 30 minutes past our reservation at another restaurant. We were so glad we decided to stop in and eat because we were impressed with the service and food. We ordered one dozen of oysters and crab cakes. The flavor of the crab cakes was savory and the serving size was ample for two people to share. I was dining with a group of four people and we shared the duck and pork chops that night, both were delicious. I would recommend anyone who is visiting Napa to stop in and try their food.
