We've been to Zuzu in downtown Napa half a dozen times now: as a couple, with friends, and with our grown children. The moderately-priced tapas menu suits all of us: it's a measure of our pleasure that we often go more than once in even a few days' visit. There are enough hot and cold choices that we don't repeat anything but favorites! Be prepared for a wait (there's often a bit of room at the bar, but getting a table for two or four can take from 20-45 minutes in our experience), but the host will note your name, and the river's edge park across the road offers a nice stroll while you wait. Locally sourced food (menu items change with the season); a nice wine and beer list; helpful service, and an atmosphere that's bustling and fun. We love everything on the menu, but the chef is especially good with lamb, and if those zucchini blossoms are available when you're there, don't miss them! We keep meaning to try the paella but we get sidetracked by all the other wonderful choices. Next time for sure!

Whenever we asked people, where's a good restaurant to go to in downtown Napa, they always included Zuzu in their list. We now know why. Having recently moved to Napa, we finally went to ZuZu and it certainly did not disappoint. My husband is a chef himself and rarely impressed. Every single dish we tried was phenomenal. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and the dishes perfectly seasoned and flavored. The service was friendly and energetic. Even when they became full to capacity, there was no sense of rush or panic. We sat at the bar near the kitchen, where you could see how well the service ran. Ben at the bar, who has been there since it's opening, was fantastic and definitely knew his wines and food! Dishes of particular note were the Ceviche (a must), the Scallops (another must), the Pork Cheeks (a surprising must), the Shrimp, the Zucchini Blossoms. We had ten dishes in total and each one was most excellent. If you want to be guaranteed a good meal, come to ZuZu! This will definitely be a staple on our list of places to dine for consistently great food!

Really great, authentic tapas. You know like the stuff you could only find in Spain. The price reange is 4-12 for the Tapas, you can get pealla for 28 that you share with the table (order it first before you even look at the menu if you want it, because it takes ~45 min to make). The wine selection is also good with mostly Tempranillos, lots of good Napa wines with a price range of $28-175. When you order start with four choices, which they bring out sort of two at a time. Because there is lots of food and you get full fast. Remember tapas are supposed to be a light meal. TIP: ask for a table downstairs. The large table upstairs tends to attract the larger, younger croud and gets very noisy upstairs. Scenic Napa river view for the upstairs and window seats.

Zuzu's is right in the heart of downtown Napa and is a local favorite. Small plates change seasonally, service is good and wine list is varied and affordable.

One of the best places we've ever eaten. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Pleasant surroundings (but not quiet). Paella del Dia was OUTSTANDING. Corn chowder, queso frito, cod with truffle oil and garlic croquettes, and an anchovy dish I can't remember were all super great, too. Nice wine list with local napa and sonoma choices. Not badly priced either. I wish we could go back again!
