“Everything was excellent”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Great warm welcome at the door, lovely atmosphere, excellent menu with interesting specials. We had the Artichokes and Ceaser (at least somebody understands the need for anchovies in a Ceaser dressing), followed by the Pork shank Osso Buco and the risotto. Everything was perfect, we could not ask for any improvement.
Could easily go tomorrow and have the same menu and be very satisfied.

“Good fod, good service”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

Small restaurant in Napa - was in a large dinner party. Appetizers were good - we had calamari, flatbread and crab cakes - all good. The flat bread was tasty, calamari was crisp and crab cakes were also good. Main course I had the steak - one small thing - I asked for well done and got it with pink in the middle - not a major deal as the food was good. I rarely eat asparagus but tried this time and found it was great - soft and moist- most times you get it, it is hard and chewy. Desert was a pudding type - tasty - everyone at our table enjoyed their food. Bread was also good but it took us asking for it multiple times to get some. Water services was also a little slow. Overall good value, good service and good food

“Nice, casual, inexpensive restaurant with great food”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

We have been meaning to try this place for some time and finally made it in for a Sunday lunch on a rainy day. We both ordered the fish and chips and it was wonderful. Served piping hot and a very nice sized portion (enough that you didn't feel ripped off but not so much that you roll out of the place). Service from the hostess through the waitstaff was very friendly. The decor is a little sterile would be my only complaint but that's nit picking as it was very comfortable.

I read some of the more mediocre reviews and I think the primary issue is this is a casual, friendly spot that serves great food. Is it what I would call a "destination restaurant"? Not really, but hey you can't eat at Redd and Bouchon all of the time and it's nice to have a less expensive option that still serves quality food (I would give a similar description to R+D Kitchen as it's nice to have some more casual spots in the valley). Highly recommend people check it out.

“Great little restaurant in downtown Napa”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

We had dinner here last night and it was delicious. I ordered the lamb burger and it was perfectly cooked. I asked for french fries instead of chips and they accommodated without an extra charge. My husband order the pork osso bucco which is usually made with lamb but it was delicious. Corkage is free for the first bottle of wine but a whole bottle was too much for our mood so we ordered beer. The service was good but we had to ask for bread and a few other items which were forgotten by the server. They have an interesting menu and we will be back to try other dishes.

“Wonderful little restaurant”
Reviewed November 22, 2013

What a marvellous find! This was one of the nicest meals we enjoyed on our travels this fall. Upon our arrival we were welcomed as though we were old friends. Very comfortable seating in a very lovely dining room. Marcello welcomed us and made great suggestions for our appetizers and main meal. Each course was served in a timely manner (never rushed, never late) and all our choices were absolutely delicious. All plates were very well presented. Of course, the Napa wines were wonderful accompaniments. A superb evening made better by the kind attention given to all details. Even the owner dropped by to make sure we were enjoying our stay.
