“Great Fried Chicken”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

Hubby came here specifically for the fried chicken he had read about. We were not disappointed. It was even better than some of the ones we've had in SF. I asked about it and they told me it was double battered and fried in rice oil. It was well seasoned, moist and the batter was just crunchy, crispy delicious. It came with mashed potato and vegts, 2 pieces of fried chicken for $17.
My lemon thyme risotto, $17 was filling but nothing compared to the fried chicken.
We liked the fudge cake topped with ice cream, $8. Coffee $3, Beer, $5.
Had a nice time at this restaurant and couldn't say enough about how nice our wait staff was. Chantel was sweet and attentive to her customers. We don't get up to Napa Valley often, but I'll be back for the fried chicken if we do.

“no corkage $ on 1st bottle, $10 after that and great food too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

we all know there are a ton of restaurants in napa but we were really surprised at this one as the food and service were great and the price was great too!! the location is a bit different only because its the first floor of a small office building and the acoustics aren't the best but otherwise, its outstanding. greeted by a super friendly and efficient hostess, we were seated in a great corner table and immediately served water. when I commented that the water glasses were a bit small (i'm always thirsty) mine was immediately replaced with a large glass full of ice and a plate of lemons. the service was sensational! our server and helper were subtly attentive and always there at the right time. we enjoyed the special heirloom tomato and ahi appetizers, lamb chop special cooked perfectly, super moist pork chop and tasty flat iron steak. no room for dessert sadly as the cheese plate would have been perfect with the cab we had leftover. really appreciated the free corkage to start and wish that more places would do that. the food is really the draw though as all was delish!

“Pleasant surprise in Napa! Great flavors - reasonably priced.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

Of course there's no shortage of great places to eat when one is in Napa! The challenge is finding great food at that won't break the bank while your waiting for an opening at The French Laundry or Morimoto down the street. NVB is a great local restaurant - the menu is well-rounded and has a nice variety for when you don't know what you're in the mood to eat. We enjoyed a sampling of pasta, hangar steak, appetizers and wonderful selection of cheese for desert. Everything was perfectly prepared and paced so we could enjoy the bottle of wine we had brought from our afternoon travels. I was surprised that there was no corkage fee - that was just a bonus. Our server was very helpful given that he was dealing with at least 5 other tables. I'd say that Napa Valley Bistro deserves being added to your list of places to enjoy.

“This concierge is picky! we loved it..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

Went with a co worker for dinner at this new bistro in downtown Napa. loved everything! we shared appetizers, small plates etc.. .. And a fabulous dessert.. small , quaint yet bustling, sort of a fun neighborhood ambiance.. although it was a bit dark inside, it could you some bright colored art.. The food was superb..the Seared Ahi was amazing. we loved it all. as I do have excellent reviews from my guests as well. happy to have Napa Valley Bistro in downtown. pricing was perfect and FREE corkage on the first bottle is a plus.. we will be back for sure~ looking for Happy Hour soon~

“Terrific!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

My wife and I had dinner at Napa Valley Bistro the other night and feel it is very worthy of the praise we had heard before trying it. The food was excellent, the service very good and the free corkage an added plus.

Highly recommended!!
