“Filled with delight”
Reviewed May 2, 2010

This was my third time visiting Napa but my first to Brix... wanted to try EVERYTHING on the menu.. and i think we almost did. The servers suggestions were excellent.. even the water boy was informative to the most minuscule questions from the menu. When you have your own garden to pick from for your menu you know you have found a place that cares about what they are serving.

“Avoid at all costs”
Reviewed March 20, 2010

Absolutely terrible. Good selection of wines and nice manicured gardens, but this is where the positive ends. Food is just a notch above Denny’s quality (if that), but at a price comparable to the most expensive restaurants in New York. The staff is arrogant, not very clean, and rude, trying to impress upon you that they are doing you a favor by letting you eat at their location.

The location is out of the way and requires driving from just about any hotel in the area, which means that at least one driver in your party would not be able to enjoy the reason for any visit at Napa – the wines.

Much better restaurants, albeit less snobbish, can be found in Yountville or any of the other small towns around. So do yourself a favor: if you like good food, avoid Brix. If you like respectful, attentive service: avoid Brix. If you want everybody in your party to enjoy the wine selection: avoid Brix. If you have too much money and just like to throw it away, then Brix is an excellent choice for you.

“Very pleased with our dining experience”
Reviewed February 26, 2010

We went to Brix with another couple on February 6 and had a lovely dining experience. The service was excellent and the food preparation was outstanding. We had rabbitt and osso bucco. We even used a restaurant.com certificate, which saved us $50. We live in the midwest but go skiing in Lake Tahoe every year and finish our trip with 2-3 days in wine country. We plan to go to Brix again.

“Hit & Miss”
Reviewed January 26, 2010

Generally good, but entree quality is hit & miss. It's slightly expensive for what you get. When I return to Yountville, it won't be on my list.

“One of Napa's Best”
Reviewed January 18, 2010

My wife and I have been to Napa a number of times, and we've been to quite a few area restaurants. There are a large contingent of places to spend your time (and money), and honestly...it's a chore to find a bad place in the bunch. Some however, are quite pricey (French Laundry comes to mind) and some are good but not great (Mustard's comes to mind). 25 Brix however, is in my opinion one of the area's best places to enjoy Napa's wine and food.

The interior is contemporary, but refined and classy. The bar is open to the rest of the interior and is quite comfortable. The wine list is fantastic, and the food is excellent yet not over the top with respect to its impact to your wallet. I had the pork, which was perfect with a local Chardonnay. If you are able, request a seat on the restaurant's outdoor patio area. It's seated with a wonderful view of the property's garden and the California sunset. It doesn't get much better.

The restaurant also houses a nice wine store, perfect if you want to take a bottle of the valley's wine home with you or just back to your hotel room. We loved this great locale, and can't wait to return.
