We attended a friend's wedding on 1/16/2010 at Brix. Ceremony itself was held outdoors at back of building next door, after which the approximate 60 guests were led to restaurant area banquet room. The waiters were exceedingly kind and well trained - never intrusive, but tended to guests in a remarkable fashion, going out of their way to make sure any requests were immediately accommodated. The ambiance was wonderful, there was no effort to rush us along. The banquet area was perfect size - not so crowded you could not move, but not so big you got lost. The food was outstanding.
We will visit again.

We found Brix to be excellent. It has been under the same owner for 13 years and we found nothing to complain about.

We had dinner here in summer 2009 during our stay in Napa. We wanted to (re-)celebrate our anniversary and were looking for a nice, romantic place with good food. Based on online reviews and recommandation by our Hotel we chose this place.

It is located by the (quiet) Highway, so it's easy to find. You'll have the chance to sit inside or in the back outside. And you should sit outside. It is extremely charming and romantic. Just look at the pics.... Both waiters and customers here are friendly, quiet and everybody seems to be very relaxed. Between the courts you can take your drink and stroll around in the garden and the vineyards. Or just move to one of the couches located in the garden. Absolutely stunning and beautiful. The whole setting is really impressive.
We had fried green beans as a starter, lamb w/ polenta, beef filet and brownies with ice cream.
The beans were amazing. Deep fried, but still crunchy inside. Nice and sweet, and came with a great dipping sauce.
My beef filet was cook as I ordered it. Smooth, tender and juicy. Nice grilled flavour. There weren't much sides on the plate....but I was focused on the meat anyway. The lamb was also very tender. But might be a little tough flavour for some people that aren't used to eat lamb. But it was good...the polenta was a little watery.
The dessert was top again. Fresh, sweet and nicely presented.

If you are looking for a nice, romantic dinner, THIS is the place to come. The food is good (the menu is quite small), but even better then the food is the whole mood and atmosphere here. It was one of the best nights we had in a while! Ok, the prices are not that low....but it was worth to pay, to get this nice service, food and romantic atmosphere. We sure would come back again!

I've been a couple of times in the past. Excellent, world-class, a sommelier that fits a restaurant in this price range. Went a few months ago. Gift shop in front, (warning!) - where's the saltwater taffy? Same beautiful setting, food ok but not for what they charge, service horrible! I went with a friend and we just wanted to talk and enjoy each other's company, so we didn't expect or need top service, but the waiter was awol the whole time. We should have known better than to order dessert, which never came, so we asked for the check and to please forget about the dessert and coffee. Instead of apologizing, the waiter got an angry look on his face then walked quickly to the manager who came to the table. He apologized and offered to bring dessert and I said that we were ready to go. He kept insisting and I said no thank you again, and that there's no hard feelings I overtipped the waiter considerably in front of the manager. He insisted a third time and wouldn't leave us alone which then left a very sour taste in my mouth. What happened to paying $250 for 2 persons to eat and getting your money's worth? Wait until a new group comes in - what a tourist trap - rotten from the management down!

People usually get turn away when the food is advertised as healthy. Not at this place! The food is delicious while being healthy. The chef has right portions and ratios of ingredients. Great job! My friends and I kept talking about returning there again!
