They thought of everything at The Cottages! It was so easy to make a reservation, and everyone I communicated with via email prior to our trip was extremely helpful and accommodating. Once we got there, they personally showed us to our cottage and made sure we had everything that we needed down to the last detail. From the basket of pastries and juice delivered to our door every morning to the cozy fireplace, it was the perfect place to relax for the weekend.

This was our second visit to the cottages. My husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to Napa last weekend and would never even think of staying anywhere else. We arrived at the Cottages several hours before check-in time but were still able to get into our cottage. The rooms are beautifully decorated and are always so clean and well kept. We took advantage of all the neat things the Cottages of Napa Valley has to offer - the complimentary bottle of wine, snacks, Bouchon baked goods in the AM, personal fire pit outside, the wonderful Jacuzzi tub, and the complimentary dinner shuttle into Yountville just to name a few! Every single staff person was so nice and very eager to help with whatever you might need (dinner reservations, wine tasting, etc.). We also met the owner, Mike, who graciously told us about the history of the property, and even let us take a tour of the gorgeous new 2 bedroom cottage they just finished (it is seriously AMAZING)!

If you are coming to Napa to do some wine tasting then this hotel is for you. We visited several wonderful wineries and never traveled more than 15 miles from the hotel the whole weekend. I honestly do not have a single negative comment about this place. As always, we are already looking forward to our next trip back.

Room Tip: We have stayed in the slightly larger Romantic King Cottages each visit (cottages 2 & 3). If I...

This is our 2nd trip back to The Cottage of Napa. And there's a reason we came back and will probably return again in the future.
Between location, the staff, and the accommodations it is just a delight.
Each individual "cottage" has it's own outdoor fireplace (wood burning) with seating, morning delivery of pastries from Bouchon Bakery (with a NY Times or Sunday SF Chronicle), fresh Peets coffee, white wine and goodies in the fridge, heated bathroom floor, automatic fireplace indoors, great bedding/linens, comfortable sofa and seating, a small kitchen for your needs, and just an overall feeling of hominess that will keep you coming back. And there are no pretentions here.
The staff will help arrange an itinerary that is individualized. And they will even drive you to restaurants in the vicinity (Napa, Yountville, etc.). They are the designated driver(s)!

The only possible drawback is proximity to the main "road" through the Napa Valley. You can hear traffic, but only when sitting outdoors next to your own crackling fireplace. For my wife and myself this was not a problem.

Room Tip: They are all good. All of the cottages face "inward" toward the main green area. And mos...

My wife and I visited the Napa Valley for the first time ever earlier this month. We selected the Cottages for their Romantic Get Away package. It didn't disappoint. The cottage was fantastic ( #2) and every aspect of the service was above and beyond. My wife really appreciated the heated bathroom floors. I appreciated the stock fridge and the morning breakfast package! Our last day there we had a pressing business matter than needed support and Mike and his staff dropped everything to make sure we got the computer and internet support we needed. This is a wonderful place and we will definitely be going back!

The staff was the best because they treated us as friends; providing guidance when asked, offering helpful hints, for example they offered to help us ship our wine purchases, and then calling us delightful when they were the delightful ones.

The #7 cottage was the best because it looked exactly like the photos and was the best in comfort. The outdoor fireplace was the best because it was ready to go, restocked and added an extra level of fun.

The stocked fridge was the best as it came with coffee, water, butter, cream cheese, wine and soft drinks. The breakfast in the basket was the best because it came right to the door, had a variety of excellent items and more than we could eat for breakfast but enjoyed later, too.

The location in the middle of so much Napa Valley has to offer was the best because we could get to all of our desired wineries and restaurants within minutes. We had the best advice from the staff on which wineries had the best view, which wineries had the best tours or teaching and which wineries needed reservations and which we could walk in.

We had the just had best time on our trip because of the Cottages of Napa Valley!

We spent 4 nights at the Cottages during the first week in January. The cottages are located about half way between the city of Napa and Yountville. We liked this spot as we wanted to be more toward the Valley than in the City of Napa. The cottages were absolutely spotless and clean. The décor is fresh and up to date. Linens and bedding are top of the line. We stayed in the honeymoon cottage that has a king size bed, a large Jacuzzi tub ( two can fit in easily) and heated tile floors. When we arrived a little later in the evening Monica built a S'mores basket for us to use out at our personal fire pit. Each cottage has a fire pit that is private with chairs, fire starters and wood that is restocked daily. Each morning a fresh basket of pastries, orange juice and fruit arrive at your front door with the New York times.... The staff are so stealth you never know when it arrives... The privacy is really amazing. There is a lovely kitchenette that has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, glass dishes for four, a 2 burner gas stove top with coffee maker AND a French coffee press.. There is a tea kettle if you are a tea drinker... creamer, butter, jam and all the items you would need for a lovely breakfast. The Cottage's staff provide robes and spa slipper for your use. There is a flat screen TV with Netflix available. You really do feel like you're in a home away from home. The staff are extremely friendly and were very helpful when booking restaurants or wine tours, tastings, etc.. The housekeeping staff are just wonderful and each day fresh linens are provided. From the minute we picked up the phone to book our trip the experiences were positive. We took advantage of the winter special and highly recommend visiting Napa during the "off" season. We were able to see a great deal of the wine country without fighting traffic or crowds. Even though we had a romantic retreat there is plenty of room and cottages that accommodate families. We did not take advantage of the spa services but they looked fantastic. We plan to take our kids next time we visit the Napa Valley. The Napa Cottages will always be our first choice. Thank you to Mike, Monica, Kevin and all the staff at the Cottages.

Room Tip: When you book the trip look at the photos and descriptions of the cabins on the website.

We recently stayed at the Cottages for the first leg of our honeymoon, and we couldn't have imagined anything better. This is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for rest and solitude. The cottage was cozy and luxurious and the area was quiet. Wood, starters, and matches are regualrly stocked in your cottage for your personal fire pit; siting by the fire with a bottle of the day's bounty after a long day of tasting is paradise. The daily pastry basket was lovely (if kind of overkill after five mornings--eventually I just needed some ham and eggs--but thats on me for booking a week there), and everything is provided to you if you want to make a simple dinner in your room. The staff was friendly and wonderfully helpful.

They have nothing by way of a restaurant or bar, but someone at the front desk is available to drive you to any nearby place. We only took advantage of this once, preferring to drive ourselves the rest of the time. Yountville and St. Helena have lots of great options for food, and nearby Napa is a good place to pick up essentials at Trader Joe's or Target.

All in all, it is the best place to stay in Napa. Expensive, but worth it for a honeymoon. I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Cabin 5 is in the back and will have very little foot traffic, and is near the picnic tables for out...
