“Unbelievable experience at the cottages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014

We spent 4 nights at the Cottages during the first week in January. The cottages are located about half way between the city of Napa and Yountville. We liked this spot as we wanted to be more toward the Valley than in the City of Napa. The cottages were absolutely spotless and clean. The décor is fresh and up to date. Linens and bedding are top of the line. We stayed in the honeymoon cottage that has a king size bed, a large Jacuzzi tub ( two can fit in easily) and heated tile floors. When we arrived a little later in the evening Monica built a S'mores basket for us to use out at our personal fire pit. Each cottage has a fire pit that is private with chairs, fire starters and wood that is restocked daily. Each morning a fresh basket of pastries, orange juice and fruit arrive at your front door with the New York times.... The staff are so stealth you never know when it arrives... The privacy is really amazing. There is a lovely kitchenette that has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, glass dishes for four, a 2 burner gas stove top with coffee maker AND a French coffee press.. There is a tea kettle if you are a tea drinker... creamer, butter, jam and all the items you would need for a lovely breakfast. The Cottage's staff provide robes and spa slipper for your use. There is a flat screen TV with Netflix available. You really do feel like you're in a home away from home. The staff are extremely friendly and were very helpful when booking restaurants or wine tours, tastings, etc.. The housekeeping staff are just wonderful and each day fresh linens are provided. From the minute we picked up the phone to book our trip the experiences were positive. We took advantage of the winter special and highly recommend visiting Napa during the "off" season. We were able to see a great deal of the wine country without fighting traffic or crowds. Even though we had a romantic retreat there is plenty of room and cottages that accommodate families. We did not take advantage of the spa services but they looked fantastic. We plan to take our kids next time we visit the Napa Valley. The Napa Cottages will always be our first choice. Thank you to Mike, Monica, Kevin and all the staff at the Cottages.

Room Tip: When you book the trip look at the photos and descriptions of the cabins on the website.

We recently stayed at the Cottages for the first leg of our honeymoon, and we couldn't have imagined anything better. This is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for rest and solitude. The cottage was cozy and luxurious and the area was quiet. Wood, starters, and matches are regualrly stocked in your cottage for your personal fire pit; siting by the fire with a bottle of the day's bounty after a long day of tasting is paradise. The daily pastry basket was lovely (if kind of overkill after five mornings--eventually I just needed some ham and eggs--but thats on me for booking a week there), and everything is provided to you if you want to make a simple dinner in your room. The staff was friendly and wonderfully helpful.

They have nothing by way of a restaurant or bar, but someone at the front desk is available to drive you to any nearby place. We only took advantage of this once, preferring to drive ourselves the rest of the time. Yountville and St. Helena have lots of great options for food, and nearby Napa is a good place to pick up essentials at Trader Joe's or Target.

All in all, it is the best place to stay in Napa. Expensive, but worth it for a honeymoon. I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Cabin 5 is in the back and will have very little foot traffic, and is near the picnic tables for out...

Second time visiting and the cottages were immaculate and even better than the last. We brought friends and they truly enjoyed the grounds ( used the out door fireplace ) and having there own breakfast delivered every morning.
Spa service was incredibly good and extremely profesional.
Visit them in the off season and they have nice discount.

Room Tip: The back units are off of the main road a bit more if you are a light sleeper

Our cottage reminded me of a four seasons room but much more private and cozy. Wonderful service and unique napa valley recommendations. They have a car service to and from yountville from 5-10pm, which was one less thing we had to worry about. Of course, the Bouchon Bakery basket seals the deal. I can't help but insist that everyone should stay here for a relaxing napa experience.

This was our last stop on our honeymoon and one of the best. It beat Hawaii and Tuscany. We had 5 nights here and it was absolute bliss. The cottages were so cute. The staff were absolutely fantastic, especially Kevin. We did a personal wine tour - which I highly recommend. He emailed us potential winery's to visit before we got there but customised our tour to what we liked (Pinot Noirs, sauv blancs and brewery's) so took us to the Los Canaros region (which we wouldn't have gone to otherwise). They had a delicious breakfast basket each day filled with bouchon bakery treats - can't go wrong. The cottages were close to everything so it was easy to get around. We dined in Yountville 2 nights which they offered free transport to/from the restaurants. I honestly have not encountered a better level of service throughout our whole honeymoon. We will definitely come back here and could not recommend it highly enough!! Jo and Scott :)

We visited the Cottages in August (2013) and it was everything and more as all reviewers have described. Having stayed at numerous luxury properties worldwide, the Cottages met and exceeded every expectation. We were warmly greeted by Dawn and as our cottage wasn’t available, we were given directions for exploring the area Upon return, the ‘check-in tour’ was quick but through, from kitchen amenities (snacks, wine, coffee, utensils, picnic backpack), bath features (LOVED the soaking tub), in room fireplace and outdoor patio pit, CD selections, front and side porches and our own adjoining, but private parking spot. The interior design of the cottages is simple but elegant, well appointed and comfy. The mattress was the BEST I’ve ever slept on. The other luxury places (The Pen, Four Seasons, Ritz) could take a lesson from The Cottages.

On our first morning, I peered out the front door and saw the breakfast basket. I felt like a kid on Christmas and the goodies inside were fresh, delicious and well planned.
We actually had to ‘will’ ourselves to leave the cottage and see the real reason for visiting the area-the vineyards! Of course there was no disappointment there, just not enough time to see/do all Napa-Sonoma-Caneros had to offer.

From breakfast on the screened porch (with swing) to pre-dinner lounging on the patio with wine and snacks, the beauty, quiet and serenity of the grounds made it easy to relax and unwind. One morning we saw a couple heading to pick up bikes, but they were so quiet, it could have easily been missed. Were we all in that supreme relaxed state of euphoria?

The Cottages will always be a special place for us, as it exceeded every expectation we could have desired and look forward to returning again.

The cottages are a delight. Clean quaint romantic quiet are just a few words that describe the cottages. Kevin who I think is the g.m.there was a huge help throughout our stay. It's employees like him that make our decision to come back to the cottages easy.
The cottages are close to everything. Easy navigating from the cottages to the wineries are also a plus. You will love this place. Go!!!
