“Very good red wines in Napa”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

Baldacci is a small boutique winery on Silverado Trail in Napa. The tasting room is small and comfortable, not as imposing as some of the large wineries. Mike was very cordial in explaining the various wines and allowing us to sample each. We were very impressed with the IV Sons blend and the Cabernet. A wine club is available for those wishing to mail order new releases.

“Worth A Stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

A great family owned winery! The tasting room is small and not at all intimidating like some other Napa wineries. We had great service while we were here. I wish I could remember our pourers name but he was young and very knowledgeable about the history of the family, the winery and the product. He even knew a lot about Bourbon and other spirits. We could've talked all day!

As for the wine it was very well done. I bought a bottle of their 07' Diamond Mountain Cab and a bottle of their 09' Black Label Cab. Both very full and delicious wines. Stag's Leap is one of my favorite wine producing regions in Napa and these guys don't disappoint. They hired a great winemaker when they opened up shop here and I'm sure they'll grow and become very successful.

“Amazing Reds!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

This small winery was one of the most memorable for us during our stay in Napa Valley. We were really impressed with ALL of their reds (so much so we sent a case home) and plan on joining their wine club! Their "brenda vineyard" cab sav is a bottle we will certainly save for a special occasion because it's a fabulous bottle of wine!

“The Best Wine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

This winery is small and its wine is pretty expensive, but the taste is AMAZING. I'll save my pennies to get more of this wonderful wine.

“Baldacci Family wines are flavorful but a little pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

Baldacci winery is located within the Stags Leap district, with 17 acres used for their signature wine (a cabernet sauvignon). This is a family affair, with most of the names of the wines chosen from the family. Four sons are named in the IV Sons Fraternity is named after the four sons, although only one of the sons (2nd eldest) works at the winery (and he served us!). The private reserve is name after the owner's wife, Brenda -- and is their black label wine. It is a comfortable setting and the people are friendly and helpful. Mike helped with the tasting, and he has worked at the winery for the past 7 years -- so is knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about as the general manager.
