We stopped at Badacci at the recommendation of our driver ... and man are we glad she recommended it! We were first asked if we had a reservation, as we arrived around 11am on a Saturday morning during the "crush" or harvest season. But "no reservation, no problem" was the attitude of the staff at Baldacci . . . the staff that just happened to be the son of one of the owners of the vineyard. He was happy to answer our silly, novice, vineyard questions and walk us through one of our first wine tasting experiences. It was a very "intimate" vineyard in terms of the size of the others we saw this particular day, but man - what an experience. I was travelling along with my mom and this was her first experience with wine tasting, my first experience in the Napa Valley. It was a very nice experience for both of us... fabulous reds available and we definitely purchased a few. They even gave us a sneak peek at their processing area and cave... and a few more tidbits into wineries and the wine business as a whole. Truly enjoyed the experience and attention received here.
