Evans has been in operation for many years and has provided reliable service. I picked up a passenger from the SFO bus this week and had a totally different and disappointing situation. Her one piece of luggage had been removed from the undercarriage of the bus by the driver. It was saturated with beer... handles soggy, outside canvas wet, and contents moist...leather coat, cashmere jacket included. None could answer the question as to why it was wet and what was leaking from where. We asked to speak to the manager and instead the owner came to the front. He asked what was the problem and reminded us how busy he was. After demonstration of the situation with the bag at his feet...he asked "are you fine, did you arrive safely? . Then we're done. You got your money's worth. What do you want for $29?!" When that answer didn't quite satisfy the passenger he got louder and more aggressive. He said, "GET OUT of my building!" More ranting about how busy and louder-he would not produce a business card...arms raised saying "YES, I am the owner!" His final and shouted demand was that unless we left the premises immediately he was calling the police to remove us and to NOT use his service... His behavior was witnessed by a roomful of shocked passengers. The man may be unhinged. His response was certainly beyond expected and the appropriate. His arrogance and lack of concern was shameless.
