“OK but crowded, noisy, and service only fair to poor”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

had reservations but table not ready when we arrived so had a drink at the bar. Loud and noisy with little chance for conversation. The spinach and egg appetizer was undercooked with tough spinach and watery egg.
the wait staff were too busy for any real service except putting food down on the table

“Excellent choice”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Awesome little find. I asked a local Napa relative for some dining suggestions and this one was on his short list. We had dinner here with another couple after visiting a few wineries. They sat us fast and gave us their recommendations along with a few different types of menus. The food was excellent! I'd recommend that you try the salami reco's from the chef, their pizza and their pastas. All were spot on. I hear their salads are really good as well.

Wine lists was extensive and they helped us choose between two very nice bottles for out table.

Restaurant has an open feel so it can get a bit noisy, but well work it!

“Delicious Chef's 10 "Salumi," excellent wine & beer, middling pizza, NOISY!”
Reviewed December 15, 2013

I had dinner with two business associates Wednesday evening 12/4. We shared a generous Chef's 10 selection of delicious "Salumi," (dry salamis & pate), outstanding & reasonably priced Buoncristiani red wine, & tasty draft IPAs. Both pizzas were OK, but nothing special (one was Margherita & one was Sausage).

Gabriel's service was pleasant, friendly, informative & attentive. Advice was well-focused.

The ambiance was attractive & enjoyable until the restaurant started to fill up. Then the noise escalated until you had to lean forward & raise your voice to be heard across the table.

On balance, an enjoyable experience.

“Delicious, earthy Southern Italian”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Started with grilled greens salad. Delicious, with anchovies, Parmesan, croutons. Meatball pizza was perfect! Thin, slightly charred crust, crispy, great sauce. Shared the lamb sausage ragu. Again terrific, and then sautéed greens. Finished off with a terrific ricotta panda cotta. Definitely will be back. Great selection of italian wines
