The food was really true Italian Food. The waiter explained all the items on the menu. I sorry I didn't have the ravioli stuffed with dove,
The stone fruit salad was heavenly.Eat outside if possible.

This was the restaurant my wife and I decided to dine at for our anniversary. The atmosphere was busy but still intimate enough. The food was delicious and well paced courses. The ingredients were fresh and unique and the salami plate appetizer was delicious. Although we did not order dessert our waiter was kind enough to bring us a special dessert the kitchen whipped up for our anniversary, which was delicious. This place is definitely worth a visit!

My husband and I ate here on our recent trip to Napa. I had read a great review of this restaurant in a Food and Wine magazine. They do a great job of using fresh ingredients. We each had a wonderful mixed lettuces salad with meyer lemon vinaigrette. I had the halibut which was served with fried lemons which were awesome. My husband had the margherita pizza and enjoyed it. We shared the chocolate gelato for dessert. Our only complaint was with the hostess. She did not do anything wrong, she just didn't look up and greet us right away when we walked in. She appeared to be having some difficulty with the computer at the hostess stand. Our waitress Christine was great!

FANTASTIC MARGHERITA:PIZZA- made like ithey do in Naples - thin crust - light dollops of fresh mozzarella - superb. STONEFRUIT AND ARUGULA SALAD was to die for! Many other creative dishes – wonderfully prepared and presented – relaxed atmosphere - friendly, helpful wait-staff ... just FABULOUS!

Outstanding experience. But like many restaurants - you should understand how restaurants work. ALWAYS respect the first contact all the way through to the last. This is not to say that fabulous service is not automatic - but my words merely enhance an already great venue and make the experience even better. We sat in the courtyard on this lovely evening. We requested Chef Curtis to come out. Love this Chef! Lovely, friendly and accommodating. We also knew some of his background and his work in the Bay Area and had no doubts of his ability. We chatted for a few minutes before even discussing the menu and decided to let him "play". We were at this mercy for a tasting menu and we were quite satiated. We truly felt special as his tasting menu wasn't readily available to all - that was a very special touch. 2 images included here.

After breaking a little ice with our server, he became our best friend. Remember that your server is your ambassador - not your slave. You do not eat without her/him and should always show them that respect. I understand that some servers are just incompetent in many restaurants - not the case here. Chef Curtis sent out Mike, their sommelier. We hit it off right away. His job is to pair the wines with the 10 courses - that's a given. His choices were lovely and delicious.

Upon check-in, we did notice the dining room is damn loud - so were pleased to be seated in the courtyard. Depending on the evening, it may be cool outside, so dress appropriately. Conversely, with an early request, get the Chef's Counter - right in front of the kitchen...watch the masters work!

It was also exciting to learn that their produce comes from their garden down the road - and like Northern California, that fish on my plate was line-caught this morning. Bear in mind, this is a casual environment, but the prices do match the excellence of the food quality, originality and taste. If you're a tourist, you have budgeted for this special dinner. If you are a local, chances are you'll eat simpler like ordering off of the menu.

Yes we will return on our next trip. Chef Curtis, Sommelier Mike, our Server and Busser made our experience there just fabulous.
