While the meal was very good, this is a shout out to our server Rosa. We had the privilege of having dinner here with a good friend from Tokyo who happens to be the founder of Food Tours Tokyo. She had a lot of questions not only about the food but about wine and Rosa was poised, knowledgeable, and patient. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Among the winners are the Oyster Foie Gras, Grilled Kama, and Kakuni (this was excellent). The Rock Shrimp Tempura was ok but not really worth writing home about. The A5 Wagyu is a must try even if you only order 3 oz. We also went through several sushi options and it was interesting to hear from a Tokyo foodies take on how it could be served better. But overall, this is a must try restaurant. But do be prepared to put a dent on your credit card.

This was excellent Japanese food...over the top. I would have given this a five but the waiter was not very good...missed two sushi rolls and a couple of drinks

Loved the hand made cocktails with girlfriends! The lunch bento boxes are a great variety and really good. Be prepared to spend when you come here.

Wonderful food and great atmosphere. The sushi was some of the best I have ever had. My friend had the chicken soup and another had the carbonara all said it was great.

You would think at the very least that the sushi at this restaurant would be exceptional. But it wasn't. In fact, it was pretty plain. And the rolls that incorporated tempura (soft shell crab roll and tempura shrimp roll) were down graded because of extra heavy batter on the tempura, plus the fact that they were obviously cooked in advance and were cold rather than fresh from the fryer. The crab nigiri was not bright, as it should be. The salmon roe nigiri also seemed less than fresh. The maguro was OK. We ordered two appetizers. One, the yellowtail tartare came first and was very good and very original. The other, gyoza, came at the end of the meal with an odd tomato sauce surrounding gelatinous potstickers. It was a bust, and the server seemed to think it was OK to bring us an appetizer after we were done with our meal. There were tons of servers standing near the kitchen, but we were routinely left un-served at the sushi bar when water glasses were empty or our tea ran out. Also, no real interaction with the sushi chefs; everything was done through the server. A $200 meal for two that was supposed to be special but fell far short.
