“Fabulous ice cream!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014

I grew up in Napa, when the building now housing Anette's was the Partrick's candy and ice cream shop. The chocolates were great, and the ice cream was the best. Luckily for Napa, Anette's continues the tradition. The chocolates are pricey but excellent, but it's the ice cream that keeps me coming back. I am so grateful that they continue to make the Mint Truffle flavor; I grew up on it, and have never seen anything like it elsewhere. Even the crunchy sugar cones seem better at Anette's. If you really want something decadent, they make sundaes with their house-made chocolate sauces, and throw in a chocolate or two. The servers are always cute and friendly young people, who seem to love dipping ice cream. You can also sample the sauce flavors, which include some yummy wine and chocolate combinations. Long live Anette's!

“Our Visit Was to the Small Store in the Oxbow Market - Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

While in Napa two weeks ago, we decided to stop by and see the Oxbow Market. One of the small stores was Anette's Chocolates, a smaller version I guess of their main location a couple of blocks away. None-the-less, the young lady there was very helpful and knowledgeable and we picked up some items to take home to Texas. I bought some of the chocolate-covered cherries and I guess didn't purchase enough. Seems all disappeared before my wife could sample one later! We will be placing an order when it gets cooler in Texas and have them shipped to us. We also found some bottles of flavored ice cream toppings and only took home a couple. Again, we will order some of each of the rest to ship to us in Texas.

Next year when we visit, we will certainly go to the main store. And, we will reserve more space in our wine carrier for syrups and chocolates the next trip. If that larger store is better than the one in Oxbow Market, it would be like visiting chocolate heaven!

“Great Ice Cream”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014

We stayed in Napa for 4 days, and we stopped by Anette's three different nights! It was on our walk back to our hotel, and we couldn't pass up such good flavors. The mint truffle ice cream was the bomb!

“What a Treat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014

Wandering down First Street on a sweltering 92 degree afternoon, we luckily spotted another couple enjoying ice cream from Anette's. The air conditioning soothed us as we selected from the delectable homemade flavors. even the waffle cones are hand made! If you prefer a confection, try the Himalayan Salted Caramels. Anette's also has a small stand in the Oxbow market just up First street and across the bridge.

“Civic Treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2014

OK, if there is a fire downtown, the first place to save is this one. No, the building isn't historic, but the ice cream and chocolates are. There was a time when there were a dozen excellent places to buy ice cream between Napa and Santa Cruz. Now there are two, and Anette's is one of them. That being said, it's the chocolates and sauces that really hook you. Don't visit Napa without setting aside a good portion of your budget here. Taste the wine at the wineries, but take lots of this chocolate home.
