Description: Located in the heart of downtown Napa's West End District, the Norman Rose Tavern is that comfortable spot where you can meet family and friends for a nice cocktail, pint or glass of wine paired with a great burger and fries or other classic, American comfort food. The menu takes a local, sustainable approach to time-honored dishes like fish & chips, fried chicken, chop salad, mac and cheese, and much more, all prepared utilizing the fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients found in the North Bay. The design offers a rustic pub feel with modern touches created by Kimberly Nunn and Dan Worden of Shopworks in Napa. The thoughtful beverage list sports a collection of cocktails, wines and beers that soar two or three levels above most, with many outstanding and well priced Napa Valley wines. The by-the-glass list is impressive as well with over twenty wines by the glass. An extensive spirits list featuring classic cocktails round out the offerings.

“Great place!”

This place is great. Sat on the heated patio and chose from a great local wine selection. Meatloaf is fantastic and friends enjoyed a variety of sandwiches. One of the best in Napa for a casual not-so-stuffy night out.

“Firendly, comfortable restaurant in Napa”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

Probably one of the better dining experiences we had, though one of us didn't much like the meat loaf. I had Dungeness crab louie salad, which was simple, excellent, fresh. Prices asre reasonable, and the vibe in the room is pleasant. Staff was excellent, attentive. Go try the crab.

“Outstanding comfort food”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

This was the second time I've been in Napa and eaten here this year. Creative down home cooking complimented with good wine or a favorite cocktail. Although this could be interpreted as a sports bar, it's truly a tavern where friends meet for good conversation. Delicious Mac/Cheese, fried egg sandwich, chili, buttermilk fried chicken . . .it keeps going. The service has been good too.

I loved this place. I stopped in by myself and just wanted a drink and a quick meal. I had the chips with homemade french onion dip, WOW! soooo good. I also had the lamb burger which was also delicious but I was so full from the chips that I took the burger to go. The service was great, very casual but attentive. Nice place. I would definitely recommend it. Also if you sit outside it is great people watching.
