“Nice grounds, good wine, rude service”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

We added this as our last stop one a wine tour after our friends recommended it. We made and appointment and accidentally went to the house first instead of the tasting room. This mishap made us a few minutes late for our appointment in the tasting room. When we arrived to the tasting room we were actually scolded for being late. Really? Who does that? You work in hospitality be hospitable. No one else was there so I am not sure what the problem was but I never think it's a good idea to scold potential customers.

When the lady poured our wines for us she said "this is a 2005 Vintage, that means that's when we made the wine..." Thanks for breaking it down for us lady. Most of us have worked in the restaurant business and had to be educated in wine so we could pair it with food and make recommendations for our customers. We know what Vintage means.

A guy jumped in because I am sure he could tell we were getting irritated with her and showed us the grounds and shared some wine knowledge with us. He was friendly and fun making up for our first impression with the crabby/rude lady. The grounds are nice and colorful with outdoor seating and an outdoor oversized Chess set. Old bikes, a 1959 corvette and other items on hand made for good conversation pieces. We liked their Malbec so we picked up a bottle but I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend with so many great wineries close by if the staff is going to have an attitude problem.

“Poor compared to what's on offer in Napa/Sonoma”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

We recently visited for a wine tasting and found the wines to be very average. This wasn't helped by the poor presentation of the two girls delivering the tasting who seemed very 'light' on wine varietals and world history of wines. The tasting itself was expensive.

“Superb wine, intimate setting”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

This winery is new-ish having the 1st production vintage 2003. They do big cabs, a great Malbec and some spectacular blends. The tasting room is staffed by regulars who have been with the winery from the beginning. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are a bit pricey but they stand up to the best in Napa. Beautiful setting right on the Silverado Trail at Oak Knoll Ave.

“One of Our Favorite Winery Visits”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

We stopped here on a whim and it was one of our favorite visits of the week. Lovely wines and our tasting bar host Dustin had a wicked sense of humor along with excellent knowledge of the wines. Nice intimate setting and a fun visit.

“Majestic site...sublime wine”
Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

I found this place from a recommendation of a local. The tasting was incredible and I found Coles wine one of the very best I tasted while in Napa. If you get the chance you will not be disappointed at your visit
