Owner description: We are by appointment only. Please go to our website to inquire about our experiences. We do not take phone reservations. The cost is $55.00 per person. We regretfully are not permitted to have anyone under 21 years of age nor allow any pets on the premises. Our award winning wines come from our 40 acres in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. From grape growing to bottling, the entire winemaking process is managed at the estate. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Our wines are sought after by collectors and have received many awards, including a recent 98 point score for our 2013 Unrestrained Reserve Bordeaux Blend.

For my husband, friends, and I, this was THE vineyard to visit. It doesn't have fancy Venitian tiles and chandeliers like some vineyards. What it does have is LOVE. Love in the stories, the essence of the winery, in the O'Briens, and in their wines - so beautifully presented, packaged, tasted. Absolutely every time we come to Napa Valley, we will most assuredly be visiting our friends - the O'Briens - and their incredible vineyard!

Bart is a tremendous host (sadly, we didn't get to meet Barbara). You'll be so glad you visited, and regret it if you miss O'Brien Estates. The place is lovely and very secluded. They have carved a niche as Romantic Winemakers. We were almost in tears as he recited the poetry on his wine labels that reflect the stages of a romance. As a result of our experience there, we became Wine Lovers Club members. Every time we receive a shipment of Seduction and Estate Merlot, we fall in love all over again - with his wine and each other. Plus, I now work in a wine store near Tampa Florida, I've been drinking fine wines for 30 plus years and I will put Seduction up against the big boys any day of the week - Jordan, Caymus, Silver Oak. Put THAT in your glass and sip it!

O'Brien wine is consistently excellent. The Merlot is superb (forget Sideways) and the Seduction always pleases. Every visit to the winery has been fun and enjoyable

After taking a hot air balloon ride in Napa in early August 09 we were treated to a champagne brunch. At the brunch a man was handing out cards for the O'Brien Estate Winery and talking about scheduling a tour. My wife and I liked his approach and took them up on the offer.

We showed up on time for our tour and shortly afterword a group of well dressed young ladies (all doctors I might add) showed up celebrating an upcoming wedding. Our total size was a little large for the normal tour person to handle so Barb O'Brien came out and gave us our tour...YES one of the owners! She could not have been more gracious and welcoming. It was probably one of the longest tours we have ever had and we left a) feeling like part of the family and b) joining one of their wine clubs.

We highly recommend a visit and that you purchase their wine, it is WONDERFUL!

After our hot air balloon ride over Napa Valley our pilot recommended we visit the O'Brien winery. I have to tell you all it was the best time of our entire weekend. We were greeted by the owner himself as we arrived & he spent the next 3 hrs. showing off his masterpiece to us. From the processing of the wine to the time spent out in the vineyard it's an experience we'll never forget. No where else did we feel the personal touch we rec'd here @ O'Brien's. Oh & by the way, the wine was by far the best we tasted all weekend. So good that we did not hestitate becoming club members. Do yourself a favor & give this place a try, you will definitely not regret it.
