Owner description: We are by appointment only. Please go to our website to inquire about our experiences. We do not take phone reservations. The cost is $55.00 per person. We regretfully are not permitted to have anyone under 21 years of age nor allow any pets on the premises. Our award winning wines come from our 40 acres in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. From grape growing to bottling, the entire winemaking process is managed at the estate. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Our wines are sought after by collectors and have received many awards, including a recent 98 point score for our 2013 Unrestrained Reserve Bordeaux Blend.

What a special place! We heard about this winery after our balloon trip and thought it would be a nice place to visit. Wow! We were greated by one of the owners, then Ray took us out to sit leisurely at a picnic table under a tree to taste wines and chat. I was able to relax on a hammock in the sun between grape vines. Ray brought out the different wines and told us about the history of the vineyard. He also brought out some amazing cheese to go with the wines. It was truly a personalized one of a kind experience AND the wines were amazing! I never thought my husband would join a wine club...but everything was so good! Great place to visit for our ten year anniversary trip!

I'm 6 months pregnant so I wanted to find a winery with a short tour. When we called they said the tour was 60-70 min and half seated. I thought this was perfect.
Pretty much when you get to the estate you sit in the back yard and sip on tastes of different wines. There is no tour! We were a little disappointed because we wanted to find out more about the winery and the process of making wine.
The highlight of the trip here was meeting the owners. They were very nice.

If you are looking for a true winery experience in the napa area, don't go here but if you are looking for tastes and inexpensive, this is the place to go.

We were traveling to napa for our honeymoon. We stumbled across obrein and boy are we glad we did. It truly is like tasting and learning about wine in your friends backyard. Bart was in a meeting when we arrived but then came over and welcomed us as well as introduced himself to us. Then meg was our tour guide. She was pretty new but had the knowledge as if she had been there 20 years! The property was quaint and not snooty. We went to 6 other wineries this week and obrein was our favorite. Thank you to Bart and also to Meg for showing us a lovely time for our first day in napa! Carly and Brendon Toohey

Recommended by Napa Valley residents, we had a lovely afternoon at O'Brien. The staff is friendly. knowledgeable and, well, fun! The wines are terrific and the grounds are very pleasant. Can be tough on the wallet as you will want to buy a lot of their wine!

We ended our first day of cork hopping at the Obrien Estate. The place was small clean and very friendly. Ray was our host and guide, and a very nice guy. We really enjoyed sitting at the edge of the vineyard and tasting the wines and eating the cheese. This was one of our favorite places that we visited while in Napa. And the wine club was a great option for us as we have enjoyed drinking it at home and thinking of our trip to Napa.I recommend the Obrien Estate to anyone touring in Napa.
