My wife and I stayed here on a recent weekend trip to Napa and really enjoyed the stay. This was the first time we've stayed downtown and the Andaz was in a great, convenient location. We stayed in one of their suites and the room has nicely designed with updated and comfortable furnishings. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and that was the perfect way to start the day. The staff was super friendly and overall we definitely enjoyed our stay. We plan to return for sure. Two things that disappointed: no tub in the suite! Yeah, yeah, that is nitpicking, but my wife would've loved a tub after a long hard day of... wine. Also, the concierge service is non-existent. After being contacted by their concierge, I attempted to get some reservations: fail. This was echoed by other guests there too. Even a simple suggestion for a nearby restaurant fell (WAY) short.

Room Tip: There are two suites at this property and that is the only way to get a balcony. Definitely worth t...

We've stayed three times, each in a Large Loft room. This was our second stay on the second floor facing the outdoor deck. It's a really nice deck. It has 8 foot long fire pits with outdoor seating around them. There are seat swings for couples. It's a great outdoor space. EXCEPT the fire pit conversation areas are adjacent to rooms. And the fire pit on the west side of the deck is particularly close to rooms. I took a look out of my window at 11:30pm to see what all the noise was about: two drunk couples (empty wine and beer bottles strewn everywhere) were sitting at opposite ends of the fire pit and having a conversation -- a yelling one because they were sitting 12 feet apart from each other. I put headphones on, got into bed and could still hear them!

After three visits to this hotel it's pretty much understood that people get wine and whatever spirits they enjoy and get social on the deck. And it's understood that when people get drunk their judgement is somewhat impaired. That's fine. But this mixture of impaired, loud people given free rein late into the evening and early morning is troubling. Particularly when you consider that the most basic thing an hotel is supposed to be is a place to sleep. Everything after that is gravy. So, I recommend to the manager of the Andaz that his first goal should be to first focus on creating an environment suitable for sleeping, then work on the socialization aspect. In fact, here's one simple first step: create tasteful placards and affix them around the deck that read: "We encourage you to enjoy our deck. But please be considerate after 10pm as guests may be trying to sleep." Simple. And then if people continue to be inconsiderate then gently remind them. So: if you don't want to be subject to loud people at midnight, avoid the 2nd floor.

Aside from that, this is a nice hotel. The rooms are tasteful. My wife loves this place and enjoys that they provide passes to the gym next door. Aside from the poor design of placing a conversational fire pit 4 feet from a guest room, it's a good place with a good location.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the deck can be loud. This applies to floors 2, 3 & 4 -- but floor 2 is the loudest...

We stayed here back in October and loved it so much we booked it again for our March trip. This place is fabulous. They give you a glass of wine upon arrival and check-in - much needed after our long journey to wine country. They did mention the valet charge this time (they did not last time so we were charged for valet every day). We received our paper every morning and housekeeping kept our room absolutely spotless. Housekeeping did a great job of bringing us extra things like tea, honey, a set of silverware, additional wine glasses, etc...

The bed in this place is HEAVEN! I have never slept in such a comfortable bed in my life. We had a great view this time (street side). You can hear a tad bit of traffic but it was worth it for the lovely view we had every morning. The restaurant was great for breakfast and their service has improved significantly since the last time we were there. The hotel bar is excellent for a cocktail before popping out to dinner.

It's centrally located to Silverado Trail and Highway 29 so it's a great location to be able to access all wineries on those 2 roads. It's within walking distance of fabulous restaurants as well which makes it so nice that you don't have to get back in your car to drive to dinner. My husband and I absolutely love it here and would recommend it to anyone staying in Napa.

Room Tip: Request a room on the street side to get a gorgeous view of the Napa mountains.

I booked this hotel for our 3-day trip to Napa Valley based on previous tripadvisor reviews. The hotel is very modern and updated. Complimentary WiFi and non-alcoholic beverages in the room are a plus. We had the loft room on the top floor with a beautiful view of the downtown area and the hills in the backdrop. We initially made reservations to SolBar in Calistoga (which was highly rated, but a 45min drive!). For those who get lucky enough to get dinner reservations to the French Laundry, don't forget that its all the way in Yountville, and you don't want to be driving around after a whole day of wine tasting, so you need to have a game plan for that! The hotel is located in downtown Napa, with excellent restaurant choices within walking distance (no more than 5min walk to all the best restaurants in Napa). We tried Oenotri on our first evening (Italain restaruant that changes their menus daily, is right across from this hotel).

I drove in from Sacramento and was immediately welcomed by the hotel staff, offered a glass of wine, and given exquisite service. I stayed in a loft room which was lovely with hardwood floors, a beautiful bathroom, and complimentary snacks. The downstairs restaurant food was one of my better meals during my stay, and the coffee and wine bar in the lobby is very inviting. The hotel is upscale, sophisticated, and the staff went out of their way to provide top notch service. Valet parking was very reasonable, and the location is excellent if you are attending a show at the uptown theatre or simply want to explore downtown Napa by foot. If they had spa robes in the rooms, then it would be perfect. Highly recommend.

Yes this was a nice place to stay after a long international flight and drive from SFO.

The former sleepy haven of downtown Napa has experienced a marvelous revival in the last decade or so. The addition of The Andaz Hotel in the center of the action is a major contribution to the fun and frolicing in Wine Country. Frankly, its a marvelous hotel. They are attentive, considerate and well managed. It's a delight, frankly. The rooms are beautifully appointed, quite contemporary, with lots of bells and whistles. Firepits out back on the second level for evening wine, courtesy massage in the lobby on occasion, superior parking and location with seemingly 14-20 restaurants and winebars within walking blocks. Great addition making it worthwhile to count the town of Napa to be an exceptional jumping off point for winery visits,
