“Good food, nice staff”

We had a very nice dinner at the Siena, the food was good and the staff was helpful. The wine list had a nice variety of local wines and although some of wines were not availalbe, the sever suggested others and honoured the price of the initial request.

“Incredible Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

My brother and I are staying at the Meritage Resort for my first-ever wine tasting trip. On our first night, before visiting any wineries, we had dinner at the Siena and received some of the best service I've ever had at any restaurant. We told our server, Raphael, that I was new to wine-tasting, and asked him if there was some kind of wine sampler. He said "not exactly," then thought a moment, clapped his hands and said "I've got you covered." What followed was a hand-crafted experience created just for us. With each course he brought out 2 top-quality wines (usually a favorite of his and a contrast), gave us some background for both and explained their differences. He returned at the end of each course to hear our reactions. Right through dessert he gave us rapt attention (though never lingering), and each course followed on the heels of the previous and was excellent. By the end of the meal, I could appreciate the difference between a smooth Pinot Noir and a spicy red Zinfandel. When we got up we realized we were the last patrons in the restaurant. I credit this dinner for launching my appreciation for wine-tasting. Thank you to the Siena, to our other servers who were also friendly and attentive, and especially to Raphael.

“Good But Can Be Slow”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

Breakfast choices were really decent. I had the smoked salmon with cream cheese and bagel. The smoked salmon was fresh and not fishy smelling. I shared an order of brioche french toast with my wife. Superb. We also had lunch there. The food was good but the order took a long time in coming. Just too slow.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

Had been to this hotel restaurant in the Meritage Resort on the ourskirts of Napa (<ten minutes from town) for a wine dinner and two charity events, all of which were excellent, but had never dined in the Sienna Restaurant.
We were persuaded by friends and were delighted.
Easy parking, friendly efficient, staff, Excellent fresh ingredients from the home-grown vegetables to the obviously fresh,sweet-tasting fish. Very nice presentation, food served hot, and reasonable pacing. I had the scallop app and the sea bass with prawns. All good. Delicious chocolate molton dessert. Prices moderate. Wine list and corkage policy, buy a bottle, waive one cork. We will be back.
Our hostess was Heather and our delightful server Leilani.

“Very good-recommend it highly”

The ambience was wonderful. The food good to excellent. Service was slow both nights we ate here. The menu was varied. We stayed at the resort so convenience was a plus. Good value.
