We stayed for four (4) nights on a Napa wine country long weekend. We focused on limo tours and enjoyed Napa at it's best excluding one day of rain. The Silverado Resort is a beautiful resort and is located well for getting up and down the valley for touring. We were glad to get settled after a long day in the air getting to California. The problems we had were with the dated accomodations. The rooms needed updating as the carpet was dark green (1990's) had ripples in it from the aging and poor maintenance. The countertops were Corian countertops from the 90's. The carpet was severly worn and was frayed at the transition going into the kitchen. The TV's were old style with remotes that would not work properly. One TV wouldonly get two(2) channels. They needed new flat panel TV's in both living area and bedroom. When I opened the sliding glass door, it became stuck, so with a little effort and pulling, it fell out of the frame onto the patio. The tub would back up when taking a shower and would take 10 minutes to drain after the shower was over.
I looked at another room of a person in the group, and theirs was totally NEW. I made an effort to change to another room the night we checked in, but they could not find a room that had two queen beds in the bedroom. That was on a Thursday night. There was no consideration from management to refund any of the amount of the room from the sub standard accomodations that were leftover from the 90'S.
If the room had not been so bad, I would have given the resort a Very Good instead of an AVERAGE.
